The feud between “The Voice” coaches Gwen Stefani and Christina Aguilera is very real. We reported last month that “The Voice” spoilers were confirming Gwen Stefani was out, and Christina Aguilera was returning to the NBC singing competition for Season 10.
Of course, that was before Gwen and Blake Shelton confirmed that they were dating and became a media sensation – which has Christina Aguilera worried that she might not be returning after all.
When Gwen Stefani took over Christina’s spot on “The Voice” – it was technically only supposed to be temporary. Aguilera was just taking some time off because of the birth of her new baby girl Summer Reign.
However, Gwen Stefani got comfortable, and the majority of the fans of “The Voice” now prefer Gwen over the original chair holder Christina. And, now that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are dating, she has an even bigger edge over Christina.
According to a new report from Naughty Gossip, Christina has been pressuring the producers harder than ever to make sure that they fire Gwen Stefani – the diva is concerned that they might retract their offer to Christina so that they can keep Gwen Stefani on for another season.
A source close to the drama dished to Naughty Gossip, “Christina is worried that viewers will want Gwen instead of her. She has spoke with producers and made it clear that she will be returning and that Gwen is just keeping her seat warm.
The best thing that could happen for her is for Gwen and Blake to breakup and become boring. If they have an ugly breakup, viewers will want to watch that too. She is in a very difficult position.”
