On tonight’s new episode of Criminal Minds, Rossi had gotten so excited about his upcoming fishing trip with his daughter – he turned off his work phone and was out of reach when New Directions called him about his old friend Harrison Scott. Harrison was a veteran Rossi had helped get back on his feet and reunite with his family. However, at the time, Rossi hadn’t known his old friend had bone cancer as well so when he was finally reached – Harrison’s death came as a major shock. So much so Rossi didn’t even want Garcia to tell the others seeing as he was still processing it himself.

But, as Rossi is suffering in silence, the BAU team continues on blissfully unaware. They’ve recently caught a case in Tallahassee where the UnSub calls 911 prior to committing a crime. And so far they’re already up to three victims.

The latest of which was a man named Victor who had been leaving a therapy session when he was randomly gun down. And unlike the other shootings – someone witnessed Victor’s death. The witness stated Victor had been hit on the head and then shot. Though he described the actual shooting as if the UnSub wanted to make sure they were shooting Victor in the “right” place.

And then there was Betty. She was the second victim and she’s the only one that hasn’t died yet. She’s been in intensive care and her case doesn’t look promising.

Yet there is one connection between Betty and Victor. They were different sexes and different races but someone had placed a call to the police before they were actually attacked. And now its up to the BAU to profile him.

Why is he calling the police? Is he an adrenaline junkie that wants to get caught or is he sending a message to his victims? One was attacked outside a church, one in front of a hospital, and the last in front of psychiatrist’s office? Reid thought that it maybe a sign of mind, body, and soul but a new murder blew up that hypothesis.

While the BAU was in town, their UnSub killed again. This time a junkie was murdered inside of his own home. And with that particular murder, the UnSub hadn’t held back.

It seems he hadn’t expected his last victim to be a junkie so once he found out about it – the UnSub believed him to be unworthy. And that’s how he helped the BAU figure out his motive.

The team had reviewed video footage of when Betty was left outside the hospital and they noticed the UnSub had paid special attention to her donor bracelet. Odd but no one thought anything of it. Until the pin dropped and they put all the clues together, from the bracelet to the junkie, and realized what their UnSub was really doing.

On the bracelet, Betty clearly states she was willing to donate all of her organs after her death. And the UnSub hadn’t tried to get the police attention with the junkie because, well, the hospital wasn’t going to harvest a man’s organs after it had gone through drug usage. And he had called 911 for two out of four when his first victim wasn’t as quickly as he wanted him to – if the donors aren’t brought to the hospital in time then they’re organs become unusable.

Hence, the team figured the UnSub must have been and still is desperate with all his kills.

And as it turns out he is. For Frank has a daughter named Estelle and she’s dying from liver failure. At first Frank tried to donate himself but he wasn’t suitable candidate for partial donation. So, after he had been rejected and he watched his daughter’s health deteriorating, he began killing people to get her the liver she needs.

Then, when that was taking too long, he turned to killing people in her support group that was higher up on the donor list. Beginning with her good friend Keith whose death clinched Frank’s profile.

The team looked into the desperate and they found Frank who worked at the DMV and saw applications where people had to fill in the donor box yes or no. and the BAU team caught him with his final victim.

He had corned a young mother not far from the DMV and he would have killed her if he hadn’t been killed first. And though later his daughter will find out he’s a killer – she’ll never know it was her dad’s liver she was getting. Though Morgan thinks she’ll be able to put two and two together.

As for Rossi, though, he ended up having support whether he liked or not when it came time to bury Harrison. His daughter Joy flew out to be with him and she was there to hold his hand as he said goodbye to a once very good friend.

THE END!
