Dancing With the Stars 2015 Recap 4/13/15 Season 20 Episode 5 "Disney Night"

Tonight on ABC Dancing With The Stars 2015 airs with an all new Monday April 13, season 20 episode 5 and we have your weekly recap below. On tonight’s episode it is Disney night and at the end of the evening an elimination occurs after the fifth week of performances. On the last episode, each celebrity set out to leave a lasting expression with their dances as they celebrated their most memorable year. Each couple performed to a song of the celebrities choosing that encompassed an unforgettable time, or truly incredible experience in their life. These heartfelt performances promised to showcase some of the most exciting choreography and emotionally powerful routines of the season yet. Viewers expected to see celebs reflect on personal moments such as Willow Shields in the ‘Hunger Games’ arena, Suzanne Somers paying homage to ‘Three’s Company’ and Bachelor Chris Soules romantic proposal to his fiancé Whitney Bischoff, to name a few. On tonight’s episode as per the ABC synopsis, “the show will begin with an opening number featuring all your favorite live action and animated Disney characters dancing with the entire cast. Each couple will then perform to songs from Walt Disney Animation Studios films including “Aladdin,” “Mary Poppins,” “The Little Mermaid” and “Frozen.” The evening will also showcase fun and exciting animated elements of Disney animation, with nods to memorable moments from Disney films. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto and Goofy will be kicking up their dancing shoes throughout the show. One couple will face elimination at the end of the night.”

First results of the night, the first couple that is safe is Robert Herjavec and Kym Johnson, Suzanne Somers and Tony Dovolani are in jeopardy and are dancing first.

Judges Comments: Len: “You are always easy on the eye, you have a style and a smile – it is a pity you had a hiccup.” Julianne: “That was exactly what were looking for, it is a shame you messed up.” Bruno: “The lady was a vamp, you hit those lines beautiful – accidents happen to everyone.” Carrie Ann: “You should be very proud, you brought your A game, so your heel got stuck in your dress – this was the mature and sexy Suzanne we were all waiting for.”

Judges Comments: Julianne: “Robert, some of your steps were not in time, I’m sorry.” Bruno: “You were perfectly in time in your own world, just everyone was not.” Carrie Ann: “You were so out of step, your timing was off. You started off wrong, it was a difficult song for you to follow along with.” Len: “It was full of razzle dazzle, you entertained, well done.”

JUDGES SCORES: Carrie Ann: 6 Len: 6 Julianne: 6 Bruno: 6 = Total 24/40

Judges Comments: Bruno: “It had warmth and just the right touch of Disney magic.” Carrie Ann: “There was point when you lost your frame, but other than that, it was beautiful.” Len: “I wouldn’t be able to dance any way that standard if I had a bad knee, you are great and I love watching you.” Julianne: “This is all about attitude, you come out here and it is so magical when you dance, thank you for letting us experience the magic with you.”

Judges Comments: Carrie Ann: “This was so beautiful, however you lost your footing in the first half – there was a bit of a problem.” Len: “You come from Hunger Games to fun and games, sometimes the concept got in the way, you are getting better though.” Julianne: “The one thing to work on is the fluidity in your arms, but you did execute this well.” Bruno: “That is one big scary rabbit, you are becoming a force to be reckoned with.”

JUDGES SCORES: Carrie Ann: 8 Len: 8 Julianne: 9 Bruno: 9 = Total 34/40

Judges Comments: Len: ‘You did this fine, it is a quick dance, you did fine, well done.” Julianne: “We have been tough on you, I think you are getting in the way of yourself, you need to work on your musicality.Bruno: “You were magnificent, you have to listen to the music, let the music transport you.” Carrie Ann: “I thought this was your best performance by a long shot. You pulled it off, you were in character, you only made one mistake.”

Judges Comments: Julianne: “Your frame was right on, you have a clear and assertive direction.” Bruno: “Looking at you makes us all believe in magic, your connection and interaction is flawless.” Carrie Ann: “I watched the audience when you came out, you captured everyone, I really enjoyed it. I am starting to miss certain movements, I am wanting to see a little more – you lacked some content.” Len: “I can’t as a judge worry about age or anything else out there, regardless of your limitations you were great out there.”

Judges Comments: Len: “There was nothing frozen about that dance, you showed us your sunny side and I loved it.” Julianne: “You could do that rendition on Broadway.” Bruno: “You captured the essence of the wonderful world of Disney.” Carrie Ann: ‘Something bothered me, the lip syncing took me out of it.”
