Dash Dolls continues tonight with an all new Sunday, September 27 season 1 episode 2, called “Little Pink Lies” and we have your weekly recap below. On tonight’s episode, the Kardashians help Malika and Khadijah cope with the aftermath of their nude shoot fallout.
On the last episode, in the premiere of this reality series, employees at a Hollywood boutique owned by the Kardashians were introduced. First up: Malika pressured her twin sister Khadijah into doing a nude photo shoot together; Durrani was torn about going against her parents’ wishes; and fun-loving Taylor annoyed her roommates. Malika and Khadijah are breaking the golden rule of their partnership. They’re now letting their personal issues come in and affect their work and disrupt the people around them on tonight’s episode of “Dash Dolls”.
See, the twins were at first not speaking to each other. They were still equally upset in the fall-out of their joint nude photo-shoot and that in turn made everyone at Dash feel just downright uncomfortable around them. Like, really, what were the dolls supposed to do when their immediate bosses were pretending the other didn’t exist? Did they have to choose sides or could they keep their heads down?
Those were valid questions what with the atmosphere at the store being entirely hostile. Yet, thankfully, the dolls didn’t end up having to choose. They just went about their day as if nothing happened and that was probably what was best.
But the tensions between the twins was not going away overnight. So Kim Kardashian tried to help and she talked to the sisters about going ahead solo. Kim has firsthand experience about how easier it would be to continue being attached to her sisters but she also knows that not everyone is always going to agree on what’s best for their careers. And that’s why being a solo act will also open up a lot of avenues.
And surprisingly Kim wasn’t the only one to say this. Khloe also told Malika that she has to focus on what she wants to do rather than wait around for Khadijah.
Yet, when it’s not the twins facing a crisis; it’s the dolls. Stephanie is the youngest Dash Doll at the moment and she’s often considered the baby. So the others try to look out for her and help guide her a little bit when they notice that she needs it.
And recently Caroline volunteered out of the rest of them to talk to Stephanie about her boyfriend. Stephanie and Colin had been together for years now and it seems there’s always an issue with Colin. He got kicked out of here or most of his stuff got burnt there. When really it’s just drama all the time with him.
So the other dolls were concerned and Caroline went in to get feel of the relationship. And what she heard made her feel worried for her friend. As it turns out Stephanie has this genuine fear that Colin might hurt himself one day. And as long as she feels like that could happen then it doesn’t look like she’ll leave him anytime soon.
Though of course her friends didn’t let anything like Stephanie’s personal feelings come in the way of doing what they believe was right.
Durrani and Nazy later set Stephanie up on a blind date without her consent and it was a disaster. Once Stephanie figured out what they were doing – she felt like her betrayed her. And she remained angry at them for judging what was best for her relationship.
And to an extent, she did have a right to be angry. Why should Durrani chose who was right for her when Durrani was the one to frighten to tell her boyfriend the truth about what had happened to her car? Durrani had been gifted a bright pink Bentley for her birthday from her boyfriend. And then she crashed it a few days afterwards.
But instead of coming clean, Durrani chose to lie about what happened. She didn’t want her boyfriend Shalom to think her irresponsible seeing as she had been accused of that already by an ex of hers. So she blamed the scratch on her friend Nazy. She said her friend hit the car.
And Shalom was alright about it. He wasn’t all that upset and the car was going to get fixed anyway. Yet the real problem, at least to Durrani, was Nazy. Nazy didn’t want to pretend. Thus she told Durrani to be honest with her boyfriend.
And that’s when Shalom got upset.
He didn’t like having his girlfriend lie to him. And he felt that a bigger deal than the scratches on her car. Ultimately he chose to forgive her for lying but he asked that they be truthful to each other from here on out. And Durrani would do that but she’s still sitting one lie she doesn’t want to own up to just yet.
So Durrani was not in the best place to hand out advice when she pulled that stunt with Stephanie. And luckily the twins ended their fighting long enough to repair the rift between the dolls. Durrani was told that Stephanie had a right to her choices and that if she wants Colin then that’s what she needs right now.
And later Nazy and Durrani reached out to Stephanie to properly apologize.
