Adrian has made a mistake on tonight’s episode of “Devious Maids” and unfortunately that one mistake could ruin the family he’s trying to build with Evelyn.
See it was only recently that both Adrian and his wife have come to love Deion as if he was their own. But initially Adrian resented the idea of possibly getting attached to another child only to lose to him in the end. So he did something behind Evelyn’s back which he thought at the time would protect them both. Only now it’s come back to bite him.
Earlier, Adrian had used his private investigator to track down Deion’s biological parents and this investigator did his job. He found the parents and Deion’s dad is eager to make contact.
Yet, after a lot of deliberation, Adrian had a change of heart and has now decided with his wife to officially adopt Deion thereby making him a permanent part of their family. So he doesn’t want Deion’s biological father to create an issue. And more importantly he doesn’t want his wife to find out what he did.
Because by time this other man was tracked down – the Powells and Carmen for that matter had become far too attached to ever give up Deion.
Luckily, though, the father doesn’t want custody his son. It seems like he never knew about the boy prior to the investigator reaching out to him and so he’s already has other children with his wife. But Deion’s father did want to meet the Powells and simply check on his son.
And that left Adrian sacred. So rather than talk to his wife, he then went about creating a scheme with Carmen. Where they would hire a child actor to play Deion and Carmen would play Evelyn. And the father could get his insight but the real Evelyn would never find out what Adrian did.
Yet this plan of his was doomed to fail and it left both Evelyn and Deion’s father questioning him. Evelyn felt like he was ruining things and Deion’s biodad felt like maybe Deion shouldn’t stay with the Powells.
So a the Powells lost a child because of one mistake meanwhile the Stappords’ mistake was that put their trust in Rosie who in turn believed her husband Ernesto when he claimed to have been held by the cartel. That was a lie. And Ernesto had no qualms about selling out Katy Stappord if it meant he could buy his actual freedom from the cartel.
Apparently the cartel wanted Ernesto back you see. So he enter into negotiations with them and dangled an even bigger carrot to get them to back off. But the part about willing putting a child in danger made Ernesto not a man that Rosie wants to be near.
Thus she ended things with him the moment she found out.
And that happened after his failed kidnap attempt. Ernesto’s partner broke in and tried to steal the little girl. Yet this plan failed as well once Katy was able to break free from the man attempting to take her out the window.
She made enough sound to alert Rosie and then ran to her while Ernesto was supposed to be catching Katy’s attacker. Which he in fact did not do. So Rosie grew suspicious and she started interrogating her husband once the fuss had all gone away and Katy had been placed with Michael for her well-being.
And a second after she found out about her husband, Rosie wisely decided that she wasn’t on the fence about him anymore. He was not the man that she thought he was and Spence on the other had proved to be the better option.
However Spence wasn’t returning her calls. So seconds after she kicked out Ernesto, she then went over to Marisol’s hoping her friend would cheer her up. Marisol is after all a good ear and it seems she really can help get someone’s mind off of bad news.
But what shew told Rosie shocked the other woman to her core.
Marisol had investigated the bloody sofa that Rosie had found and it looks like it was blood. Which explained why Taylor got rid of it after she had talked to Rosie. Yet the blood seems like it could have been the dead tennis player’s. So the ladies now know that Taylor knows who killed Blanca and Louie.
They don’t believe she killed someone but it’s most likely her lover they’re looking for.
And so the maids have a lead into their friend. Yet Zoila got a friend back tonight because Genevieve did eventually realize who was more important to her. And it wasn’t the underhanded doctor that tried to manipulate her whole life.
