We all know now that the “General Hospital” spoilers about the murder of a fan-favorite character is about Silas Clay (Michael Easton). Silas has been a hunky favorite of GH fans since he appeared as the benevolent twin brother to vampire/rock star Stephen Clay/Caleb Morley and the bottom line is that he will be missed. Granted he has been underutilized in recent months – showrunners didn’t even allow Silas the screen time to be seen kidnapping baby Avery – it was all detailed in talky flashbacks.
And now it’s that kidnapping that will ultimately cost Silas his life – at least in an ancillary way. Of course you know that Silas kidnapped Avery to take some bone marrow to save his baby mama Ava Jerome (Maura West) from the ravages of cancer. He saved her life expecting her to say thanks and skip town, but he should have known that Ava is like a cockroach that won’t ever go away. She came back as the devilish Denise DeMuccio and seems to have picked up where she left off.
It’s this last part that’s the issue. Part of her resuming some of the lifestyle choices of her alter-ego Ava is that Denise also got busy bedding Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) behind daughter Kiki Jerome’s (Hayley Erin) back. And this is exactly what Silas walked in on this week after Franco (Roger Howarth) blabbed that Ava not only told him Silas’ dirty kidnapping secret but that he also knows that she’s shagging her daughter’s BF like the bad, bad girl that she is (and always will be).
But Silas pushed Ava too far when he told her that he was going to tell Kiki that Denise is Ava back to life and about the cheating. Ava pleaded but Silas isn’t having it and he should know that Ava will always do whatever she has to do to protect her interests – does Silas not remember that Ava shot Connie Falconeri (Kelly Sullivan) in cold blood? Ava is a murderous bitch, there’s no doubt about it. But what’s interesting here is that Ava may not have to personally do the deed when she has her little Boy toy Morgan to manipulate. Ava playing victim again and Morgan running to her rescue.
On Friday’s show, Morgan will tell “Denise” that he will do “whatever it takes” to shut Silas down and keep him from telling Kiki about the two of them. This is perfect for Ava – Morgan is very emotional, malleable and has a definite capacity for violence growing up around Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) – and little regard for life growing up in the shadow of the mob around not only Sonny but Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) as well.
Will Denise be able to convince Morgan to go take out Silas? Or will her murdering tendancies come out when she gets desperate once again – the last desperate act ended in an innocent woman’s death and she would not hesitate to do it again. On Friday’s episode We see Denise and Morgan go separate ways, both saying they will leave Silas alone… But next we see Silas face down on his apartment floor with Nina (Michelle Stafford) hovering over him with a knife – Nina just found out Silas kidnapped Avery and she was livid. Franco (Roger Howath) left Shadybrook looking for Nina because of the crazed way she exited the facility. Franco goes directly to Silas’s and sees Silas on his apartment floor with Nina as described above – Franco stares in shock. Stay tuned to CDL for more “General Hospital” spoilers, news and gossip.
