“General Hospital” spoilers and casting news tease that in April 2015 Anthony Geary’s contract will be up at the ABC soap. GH fans are already creating a frenzy on social media and message boards – and wondering if Anthony Geary is leaving Port Charles. Or if he will re-up his contract. It’s no secret that in 2013 there were some major snags with Tony Geary’s contract negotiations, and it was up in the air for a while whether or not he would be sticking around the ABC soap as the iconic character Luke Spencer.
According to “General Hospital” spoilers and rumors, one of Anthony Geary’s biggest requests during his 2013 contract negotiations was that he wanted some meatier storylines – and he got just that with the year long Fluke and Luke debacle. Some GH fans argue that the over-the-top Fluke storyline was like Anthony Geary’s grand finale, and he wanted to go out with a bang before he retired. And, considering the actor’s health and back surgeries, it’s not hard to fathom the idea of him deciding that he is ready to settle down and enjoy retirement.
“General Hospital” spoilers tease that the Fluke storyline is on the verge of being wrapped up, and it appears that the writers are going with the Helena Cassadine brainwashing or microchip in his brain angle. So, if ever there was a time for Anthony Geary’s character Luke Spencer to bow out, now would be it. Luke Spencer is currently sitting inside a Port Charles jail cell, and considering he just proved that he is really Luke Spencer, then Luke Spencer could be held accountable for all of the crimes that Fluke committed over the course of the last few months and it would make total sense for the writers to ship him off to Pentonville or Miscavige.
