“General Hospital” spoilers reveal that Jake Doe (Billy Miller) doesn’t have to worry about not being able to pay the rent for very long. Although Jake walked away from mob life when he told Kyle Sloane (Grayson McCouch) he was done being a CI then told Julian Jerome (William deVry) he needed to leave his organization too, he’s got a new gig coming in the near future.
Check this out – Michael Quartermaine (Chad Duell) will hire Jake to be the new head of security at ELQ. That’s got to trigger some memories considering how close Michael and Jason were. Jason was basically his second dad and was there his whole life. Time spent with Michael has got to trigger some memories for Jake. And shouldn’t Michael recognize something familiar in Jake?
Jake working at ELQ will not be good for either Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher) or Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst). If Jake being around Michael and ELQ in general triggers memories, Liz and Nik can both be found out in their lies. Neither of them will fare well if and when Jake realizes he’s Jason and that they knew all along. Woe unto Liz when Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) finds out that Liz was lying to her bestie.
Plus, to complicate things further, Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) will also be lurking around ELQ since Sabrina Santiago (Teresa Castillo) will hire Sam to investigate Rosalie Martinez (Linda Elena Tovar) when Sabrina starts to get a bad feeling about Rosalie. Sabrina will be suspicious of Rosalie’s intentions and may suspect she is not loyal to Michael and ELQ. Sabrina is much cleverer than Michael and keeps saving his butt!
That means not only will Jake be hanging out around Michael but Sam too as she investigates. Surely all of those familiar faces have to trigger something in Jake’s mind. Also, isn’t it interesting how Jake will end up working at ELQ when as Jason, he refused to have anything to do with the family business? It seems like they are really rewriting Jason this go round.
Jason may actually be back to the way he was before he was a hit man. Won’t that be great? Jake seems to have genuine feelings which Jason didn’t after the brain injury. It won’t be long before Jake and Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) have a run in too. When will people start noticing Jake and Jason have the same voice, build, eyes, hairline and mannerisms? Those aren’t things that usually change.
The ELQ job offer will freak out Liz but she won’t be able to stop Jake from taking what’s obviously a good and legitimate job. And I’m sure Carly will be thrilled to have her new buddy Jake watching son Michael’s back. Don’t expect Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) to like it, though. And Nik has to be pooping bricks thinking about the fall-out if/when Jason’s memory returns.
We can’t wait to see this “General Hospital” spoiler come to fruition. Jake is also rumored to come across a child’s grave soon that has him thinking deep thoughts – likely it will be his child with Liz – Jacob Spencer. GH show runners have said that it’s the home stretch for the amnesiac Jake storyline but two different resolution dates have been swirling. Some sources say end of summer for the big reveal and some say November sweeps. Sooner rather than later is fine by me. I like Jake, but I miss Jason!
