Check out these “General Hospital” spoilers for the Thursday, July 16 episode of the hit ABC soap. Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) are pleased to tell Michael Quartermaine (Chad Duell) that they’re getting hitched again and that means baby Avery will have a new mommy. Mikey will do as Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) asked and plead Denise DeMuccio’s (Maura West) case about her visiting her baby niece. Sonny says hell no despite Michael asking nicely.
Sonny is so happy he has no clue what’s coming for him – in the form of Franco (Roger Howarth) and Denise/Ava. Franco is chatting up his dad Scotty Baldwin (Kin Shriner) and will ask about evidence. Franco needs to find out where Scotty has the goods on Ava so he can steal it so she can come back from the dead with no worries. Will Scotty fall for his son’s shenanigans or kick Franco out?
Franco and Denise are also stressing out Julian Jerome (William deVry). Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is happy to have time with Julian and that he’s sticking with his pledge to be a journalist and stay out of the mob. Alexis is surprised to see fitness nut Julian indulging in carbs and he tells her that he can’t stand that Denise has Franco hanging out at his house. Alexis will comfort him.
Kiki goes to hang out with her dad Silas Clay (Michael Easton) and tell him that she’s trying to get her Aunt Denise visitation with Avery using Michael as the advocate. Silas will try to caution her about her “Aunt Denise” but Kiki is completely insistent that Denise would never hurt her and that everything is good in her peachy land of denial. Poor Kiki.
As Kiki is defending Denise, Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) goes to confront Denise about blabbing to Silas about their make out session. Their argument will turn to passion and they will end up getting naked and really betraying Kiki. Ironically, when Silas accused Morgan of cheating with Denise, he hadn’t yet, but their discussion prompted him to go to Denise and that sets off the cheating.
And is rat fink Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) developing a conscience? After Nina Clay (Michelle Stafford) told Ric that her mom Madeline Reeves (Donna Mills) robbed her of her only chance of ever having a baby, Ric wants to know from Madeline what exactly she did to Nina. Is Ric regretting taking advantage of Nina who has been treated so horribly? Will Ric be decent and stop his awful plan?
And despite telling Ric she would keep the crying baby and blanket issue between them, Nina runs to her ex Silas to confide in him that she fears she’s going nuts. Nina wants Silas to treat her, possibly medicate her so she can hang onto her sanity. Silas will encourage Nina that she’s not going nuts and will also share with her his concerns about Kiki in light of the Morgan and Denise thing. Nina will be interested to learn that Franco and Denise may not be as together as they appear to be.
