General Hospital Spoilers: Nik Threatens Hayden and Co-Opts Liz - Dr. Obrecht and Franco Conspire - Patrick Jealous of Jake

Check out these “General Hospital” spoilers for the Friday, August 7 show. It’s cliffhanger Friday and today is going to be a doozy. Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) continues to press on Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher) about whether he targeted Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) for the shooting. Nik warns her that he’s willing to tell her the whole ugly truth but then cautions her that once she knows it, she’ll know it all. Nik fesses up then kind of scares Liz with his Cassadine-esque demeanor. Liz is disgusted by all this and her role in it. She feels horrible about Hayden’s near death and the Jason lies, but will she make it right? And will Nik head over to the hospital to give Hayden a scary warning to keep her mouth shut?

Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) is worried about his sister being stuck in Shadybrook and the stress on her of finding out her ex Silas Clay (Michael Easton) is dead. Nina keeps insisting that Franco (Roger Howarth) is not the killer so Nathan has to ask why she knows this. Will Nina admit to being in the apartment with Franco? Will she tells him Silas kidnapped baby Avery? Will Nina try and save Franco by sacrificing herself while he’s doing the same thing? And, if so, will that tie the police’s hands because they’ve got two lunatics trying to take credit for the killing?

Franco takes advantage of Dr Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) keen criminal mind to figure out how to get him out of this mess without implicating Nina since he wants to save her at all cost. Fortunately, Obrecht will want to save Franco at all costs, so she’ll put her evil mind to work. Franco tells her that Ava Jerome (Maura West) is alive, is Denise DeMuccio and that Silas kidnapped the baby to save her life. He will also tell her that Nina is stuck in Shadybrook because her vile sister Madeline Reeves (Donna Mills) is plotting with rat fink Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) to steal Nina’s millions.

When Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) learns that Silas has been murdered, she tells Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) there’s a good chance that Morgan may have done the foul deed. They discuss whether Morgan might have offed him to keep Silas from telling Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) about the affair. Morgan’s parents want him done with Denise – Morgan will pledge to end it. Morgan will head over to tell Denise they are really done this time. Morgan likely assumes that Denise killed Silas and she assumes that Morgan did it. We now know that Ava was in Silas’ apartment the night he died.

Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson) is furious that Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) is keeping secrets from him with Jake Doe (Billy Miller). Sam has to explain that Liz has deep ties with Nikolas and Nikolas is wrapped up in the Hayden mess. She says they had to consider that anything they told either he or Liz would go straight into Nikolas’ ear. Patrick is not pleased that Sam is in cahoots with Jake and has chosen Jake over Patrick for loyalty. When will Hayden tell Patrick the big secret? Soon, very soon.

Jake is back to see Hayden with questions. He wants to know if she knows who Nikolas is. At some point, Hayden will drop the BS and get real with Jake. She’ll tell him that he’s Jason Morgan and that Liz and Nik have both known all along. But will it be today that she reveals? Or will Hayden hang onto this juicy tidbit a bit longer as a self-protection measure? Sam and Jake continue to try and puzzle out the Hayden-Nikolas connection but they will need help from a third party to get them on the right track.

Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) cryptically told Nina that he had to be in court this morning and couldn’t stay. Did he and Madeleine get a court date to fast-track Ric’s conservatorship so he can get his hands on her money? Ric and Madeline discuss how they can best leverage Silas’ murder and Nina’s anxiety about it to their advantage to make her look more unstable. Madeline wants Franco out of the way, so she’ll be happy he’s locked up. It’s up to Nathan to fend off the family from Nina’s money until Franco gets out of the PCPD lock up.
