General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Liz Hits Rock Bottom - Reveals Jason Split to Sons, Trouble Coming

“General Hospital” (GH) spoilers reveal that Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) has another unpleasant confrontation coming up – she has to tell her sons that she and Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) are over. And worse yet, Liz has to tell them it’s 100% her fault (or does she?).

While Liz and Jason will have a tender moment at the Holiday Gala, it will not be enough to convince Liz that Jason will ever come home to her. And her kids have to notice that Jason has packed and left the house. When the inevitable questions arise, Liz has to address them.

What makes this all so much worse is that Jason was going to adopt Cameron Spencer (Michael Leone) and Jake Spencer (James Nigbor). Even though he’s Jake’s dad biologically, all the paperwork said he was Lucky’s kid, so an adoption would have straightened that out.

To ice the sad cupcake, it’s Christmas. Liz has to tell the boys that their new dad has dumped her and it’s Christmas with just the four of them yet again. And Liz cannot blame the split on Jason to make herself look better for a couple of reasons.

First, if she and Jason ever do reunite, she doesn’t want the boys to be upset with him. Second, it’s 100% not Jason’s fault. But the question remains, how much will she reveal to her boys about the truth of the matter?

Liz can always say that Jason found out who he was and that means he was married to someone else already, i.e. Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco). Blaming Sam is a good escape hatch for Liz – but she has to do it carefully since Little Jake may talk to Danny Morgan.

Liz can say that Jason is already married to Sam so he can’t be with them right now. And if the kids ask why doesn’t Jason leave Sam and stay with them, Liz can say it’s not up to her. But will Liz tell them she lied to Jason and that’s why he’s mad at her?

There’s a strong chance Jason himself might tell the boys that Liz lied to him – so will she come clean on that issue before someone else tells her kids? Telling the whole truth to her boys may be a watershed moment for Liz.

Up until now, she’s been on the defensive since people like Sam and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) have been coming at her aggressively and she’s fought back to try and justify what she’s done. But talking to her kids about the split is another dynamic.

Once Liz sees how heartbroken her boys are, she will finally see how destructive her lies about Jason’s identity have been. It will take her boy’s sadness to finally break through the shield of rationalization Liz has constructed around herself for the last seven months.

Liz will begin to feel awful for the people she let continue to grieve Jason when she knew he was alive. Liz will finally have to admit to herself that she was 100% selfish in keeping the secret and not telling Jason immediately – as he told her she should have done.

In fact, Liz will finally see that the lie is what split her and Jason – not the truth about his identity. And this will break Liz’s heart all over again. Liz will hit rock bottom emotionally – but then there may be a ray of hope. It looks like Jason is softening towards her.

Jason has seen Liz under fire from Carly and Sam. And he saw her sloppy drunk and upset at the Gala. Jason will begin to see that Liz has been punished for her lie – and he does know, deep down, that Liz truly loves him and that was her motivation.

Could Jason swoop in on Christmas day to spend time with her and the boys? Is a possible Liason reconciliation in the works? GH spoilers tease that Jason and Liz may grow closer soon and that Sam will begin lashing out as a result.
