“General Hospital” spoilers and coming and going news tease that one of the ABC soap fans’ most favorite actresses, Vanessa Marcil, could be making a comeback! It seems like rumors are always floating around the internet that Vanessa has signed back on to “General Hospital” to reprise the role of Brenda Barrett, but according to the latest edition of ABC Soaps In Depth – there could actually be some truth to the rumors this time!
This week’s Soaps In Depth Magazine teases that Vanessa Marcil has been in discussions with TPTB at “General Hospital” about returning to the ABC soap as Brenda Barrett. Marcil dished to SID, “There’s always conversations. I’m a big fan of surprises, there won’t be an announcement before you see me on air. Like how they brought me back during the 2013 Nurses Ball, I was on set before people found out.” Call us crazy – but that sounds like a confirmation that Marcil and the producers at “General Hospital” are currently working on a super-secret return for Sonny’s old flame Brenda Barrett. To be fair, if Marcil does return to the ABC soap, it most likely won’t be long-term, she also dished to Soaps In Depth that she is super busy right now and working on three different projects and opening a restaurant.
“General Hospital” spoilers always seem to be teasing that Marcil is returning to the ABC soap as Brenda Barrett, but gauging Marcil’s comments to the soap magazine and the fact that Frank Valentini refuses to comment on her return instead of confirming or denying it – there could definitely be some truth to the rumors this time. And now is a perfect time for Brenda to return to Port Charles. Super couple CarSon (Carly and Sonny) was recently reunited for the umpteenth time and their relationship seems to be pretty solid. We would love to see Brenda breeze through Port Charles and create some major drama for Carly and Sonny and stir things up a bit.
