Gerard Butler has shocked onlookers by dating one woman for the past six months, which already goes against his whole playboy mantra. Gerard Butler and Morgan Brown have been dating since the fall of 2014, and according to a new report from Star Magazine, he’s gone and popped the question.
There were already plenty of rumors suggesting that Gerard Butler was going to propose to his girlfriend, but nobody took them seriously. For one thing, Gerard Butler’s reputation as a womanizer is even more notorious than Leonardo DiCaprio’s reputation, and for another, he’s openly discussed his distaste for settling down. But alas, George Clooney claimed that he would never get married again, and whaddya know? He got married this year.
Plus, Star’s source adds, “Gerry is crazy about Morgan. He knew from the beginning that she was different from his past girlfriends.” Star’s report also has a picture of Morgan’s supposed engagement ring, which she allegedly showed off while in Malibu on March 1st.
At the end of the day, do we believe that Gerard Butler would propose to his girlfriend after six months of dating? Crazier things have happened, and this is Hollywood, so yes – we believe it. But at the same time, there’s no guarantee that Gerard Butler will ever announce that he’s engaged, in which case everything remains speculation. Plus, even if they’re engaged, there’s no guarantee that Gerard and Morgan will even make it down the aisle.

To be honest, Gerard Butler does seem a lot happier with Morgan than he has with his ex-girlfriends, and those were all the signs we saw in George Clooney before he popped the question. It’s possible that Gerard Butler will follow the same path, albeit in a different manner.
