Are Gwen and Blake Shelton in the verge of a break-up? Season 9 of The Voice is at the finals stage, and that means so is Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s showmance on the NBC singing competition. As you all know, Christina Aguilera is returning to claim her crown as a coach, and Gwen is getting kicked to the curb by NBC.
As her time on the show winds down, Gwen Stefani is growing scared that her relationship with Blake might not survive once they are no longer working side by side.
Gwen Stefani has made it very clear that she does not want to leave ‘The Voice,’ and she has done everything short of beg for a coaching spot on live television. How could we forget that awkward scene where she volunteered to sit on Blake’s lap in Season 10 so that she could return to the show? So far NBC doesn’t seem to be budging on their decision to bring back Christina and kick Gwen to the curb.
Obviously nobody likes to be out of a job and no longer the center of attention. But, sources close to Gwen Stefani say that it is much more than that. After her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale’s alleged cheating, Gwen is feeling a bit insecure.
And, her relationship with Blake Shelton is already starting to suffer. The No Doubt singer is reportedly scared that if she is not by Blake’s side every day during Season 10 of ‘The Voice’ – he could cheat on her, and inevitably they will break up.
If you think about it, who could really blame Gwen for being worried? She divorced her cheating husband, only to start dating another alleged cheater who was straight out of a divorce as well. It really is a recipe for disaster.
And, there is a chance that she and Blake’s relationship is based on convenience and not attraction. If Gwen isn’t by his side everyday, Blake could lose interest quickly. What do you guys think?
