Is Iggy Azalea's Concert Tour Cancelled: Ticket Sales Awful - Career Derailing? (VIDEO)

Is Iggy Azalea’s career finished – ticket sales are slow for her concert tour and things are looking desperate will the tour be cancelled. Iggy Azalea faces a lot of backlash from the general public, regarding everything from her music and her body to alleged cultural appropriation and Azealia Banks insane racist rants. It’s a double standard that many white male rappers don’t face, but that’s the music industry for ya.

However, whatever it is that’s affecting her career is not stopping, since our friends at The Gossip Table have recently revealed that ticket sales for Iggy’s concerts over the past few months have been very sluggish in the video below. For example, the Staples Center LA concert was originally scheduled for April 21st, and Iggy had reportedly only sold out half the venue by mid-March. If you keep in mind that tickets had been on sale since December, those are atrocious and abysmal numbers.

And really, based on those numbers, it shouldn’t come as a huge shocker that her first arena tour [scheduled to begin in April] has now been pushed back to September. The official statement from Iggy’s label, Def Jam Recordings, read, “The tour has been postponed due to tour production delays. It is important to Iggy that she delivers the show she envisaged to share with her fans and that requires more time in development.”

Translation: Nobody was buying tickets to the tour, so we’re pushing it back to September and crossing our fingers that the tickets get snapped up quicker. If not, we’ll concoct some other excuse for the poor showing, instead of dealing with the problem directly: Iggy’s image and fan base.

What do you guys think about Iggy Azalea’s career slump and her poor concert sales? Do you think it has anything to do with Iggy handing over her social media accounts to her management team after the backlash became too much for her to bear? Or is something else causing the ticket slump? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
