Kate Middleton's Depression and Anxiety: Prince William Genuinely Concerned as Couple Attend World Mental Health Day

Prince William appears to be genuinely concerned about Kate Middleton’s depression and anxiety. The couple participated in round table discussion and other activities during World Mental Health Day at Harrow College on Saturday, October 10. Things looked a bit different between the two – more loving and tender – than they have in the last few joint appearances.

Camera’s caught the Duke of Cambridge smiling as he sat at a circular table with Kate Middleton as they laughed and joked with others in attendance at the conference. Both were dressed casually, Wills more than Kate. They were laughing – even giggling – as they made the rounds at the conference. Is it possible that William and Kate have had some heart-to-heart discussions about her feelings of isolation within the Royal family and he is taking them seriously?

The second-in-line to the British throne was in the middle of the mess of a marriage of his parents Prince Charles and Princess Diana. According to an interview Diana once gave Prince William used to slip her tissues under the door and beg her not to cry.

It would be spectacular if William has taken the initiative to speak with the Queen and ask her permission to lessen the pressure on the Duchess. And maybe the Wills granny – having seen three of four of her children’s marriages end in messy divorces – has taken William’s request to heart.

Queen Elizabeth even has reluctantly allowed Kate’s mother Carole Middleton limited access to the Duchess, Prince George and Princess Charlotte – despite Carole’s embarrassing behavior at the Rugby World Cup match. Carole Middleton used a paper sack to smuggle in some snacks and booze when she and husband Michael Middleton and son James Middleton attended the England versus Australia match in the company of Prince Harry.

Rumors of problems in their Royal marriage will always follow the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as Royal watchers closely monitor their behavior for signs of unhappiness. The biggest problem Wills and Kate seem to encounter is the manipulative meddling of Kate’s mom Carole. If the Queen can keep Kate Middleton’s mom from butting in ALL THE TIME the Duke and Duchess just may have a chance to be a “normal couple” as they wait to become King and Queen of England.

If you want to be a Royal that means following the rules. But the Queen just might be allowing her grandson and his family some wiggle room – as long as they keep Kate’s mum’s interference to a minimum. And after the debacle of Princess Diana and Prince Charles marriage something had to change.
