Kate Middleton and her mother, Carole Middleton, have picked a fight with Queen Elizabeth and the Middletons are now embroiled in a quiet rumble with Her Majesty. It appears the Duchess of Cambridge and the Middletons are on their own in the battle. Kate might have to fight the royal feud alone, as Prince William sides with Queen Elizabeth.
CDL has covered the Queen’s displeasure of Kate’s reportedly “lazy” attitude, and her frustrations with the Middleton family. Thanks to snubbing royal duties in favor of tea with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Princess Kate has earned the nickname The Duchess of Do Little. In addition to only attending engagements that interest Kate, the March of the Middletons has finally pushed Queen Elizabeth to retaliate. The monarch failed to attend Prince George’s second birthday party, sending Prince Phillip in her place. It’s an obvious sign the Queen is done patronizing the Middletons.
The Duchess and Carole Middleton might have pushed the Queen too far with their royal revolution and reform in favor of middle class values. Carole is not shy when it comes to standing up to Queen Elizabeth. The in-law openly broke royal protocol on several occasions; including meeting Princess Charlotte before the Queen did. Kate seems to follow suit, skipping out on royal duties and raising Prince George and Princess Charlotte with a sense of hand-on normalcy in lieu of royal remove.
The Queen, likely tired of the alleged lazy habits and Middleton takeover, might take her retaliation beyond snubbing birthday parties. It’s a strong possibility Queen Elizabeth will be striking back where it really hurts – the royal couple’s bank account. In light of the “Kate Effect” diminishing, and Buckingham Palace’s need for repairs, the royals will need to save money and cut budgets. That means Kate and Prince William’s multimillion allowance could be slashed.
This brewing war between the Middletons and the Queen will likely get messy, and it appears Prince William is siding with his grandmother. The Duke of Cambridge has been busy working as a pilot for East Anglian Air Ambulance, juggling time as father, and attending to royal duties, while Kate takes on scuba diving training and secretly attends pole dancing classes. It’s pretty evident who Prince William is worried about pleasing. The second in line to the throne developed a closer relationship with Queen Elizabeth, and has always towed the line when it comes to trying to please her, just like his father, Prince Charles.
