Kate Middleton: Will Royal Doctors Induce Labor at St Mary’s Hospital – Duchess Past Baby Birth Due Date?

Kate Middleton: Will Royal Doctors Induce Labor at St Mary's Hospital - Duchess Past Baby Birth Due Date?

Reports are out that Kate Middleton will be induced to give birth at St Mary’s Hospital as the Duchess is past her due date and royal doctors want to avoid possible complications. Kate Middleton’s due date – despite the royals claiming that it’s still next week – was actually rumored to be April 20. However, since Kate has obviously not gone into labor, that means that she’s ‘technically’ late in giving birth. But we all know how meticulous the royals can be about this sort of thing, so the question is – will they induce labor if Kate is late?

Right not, I think it’s still far too early to say for sure. The royals might plan on inducing labor, and they might not. But one thing we can say for sure is that both Prince William and Prince Harry are in London this weekend, and Prince William has already taken his paternity leave. That means that the royals are expecting that second royal baby to come out any minute now, and in fact, they’re probably expecting that the baby will be here by this weekend. Any later than that, and we’ll start dealing with an actual delay…

Granted, inducing labor comes with its own set of complications, and Kate Middleton’s already had to deal with so many complications thanks to her Hyperemesis Gravidarum. She’s had to face months and months of severe morning sickness, and even after that, she was forced right back into a grueling schedule of public appearances and tour dates. She’s only recently gotten some time off from all of her public appearances, and that’s to prepare for her second birth. However, she was spotted with Prince George at the Petting Zoo recently, so she’s clearly well enough to go outside on her own [well, with bodyguards and an entire entourage, but still].

What do you guys think? Will Kate Middleton end up giving birth and going into labor over the next few days? When do you think her ‘official’ due date is? We’re starting to near the end of April now, so there’s a very big chance that the second royal baby will be born in May. And if Kate doesn’t go into labor over the next few days, do you think they will plan to induce the baby? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
