Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes have been dating for the past year and imply they are hooking up. We at CDL have reported on this relationship previously, but both Jamie and Katie have done a remarkable job in keeping their romance private. Of course, sites like Gossip Cop have definitely done their share to help Katie and Jamie keep their relationship hidden, what with their incessant denials of Katie and Jamie’s relationship despite all evidence to the contrary.
Now Jaime Foxx has come out and denied that he is sleeping with Katie Holmes, claiming they are just friends – see the video below. But of course what can you expect from one-half of a couple who have worked hard to keep their romance covert?
Then again, People Magazine’s sources do add, “This is not some intense romance. Jamie and Katie are friends and have been for a long time. They are two adults who are attractive and single, and so apparently conclusions will be drawn. But contrary to those conclusions, they’re not about to run off and make some serious commitment.”
Ok, somebody in Jamie’s camp or Katie’s camp – or both – is doing their utmost best to make it seem like Jamie and Katie ARE JUST CASUAL, YOU GUYS! However, they’ve been spending time together for over a year, and that just doesn’t scream casual relationship to me. Plus, it’s not just People that’s reporting the story, but other outlets like US Weekly. That also means that there are official PR people that have made it their job to get this story out, which is either meant to spite Tom Cruise or just stop the rumors, one way or another.
What do you guys think about Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes ‘dating’? Do you think that their ‘relationship’ will last, or go anywhere more serious? Or is People right in saying that this is nothing serious? At the end of the day, this is all PR speak, and I’m pretty sure neither Katie nor Jamie want us to think that they’re going to get married – even if that’s the truth.
