The Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid feud is not over. Jenner and Hadid may have appeared to make nice at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show but the backstage friendship was fake.
Gigi Hadid posted a photo on Instagram and both models were all smiles in the selfie. But just because Kendall and Gigi are smiling doesn’t mean they will be besties anytime soon. Reportedly Jenner is STILL extremely jealous that filmmakers fawned all over Gigi at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2015. A few film producers approached Kendall but were much more interested in Gigi – and that made the feud that was already brewing between the two even worse.
Now it seems as if Gigi might be jealous of Kendall. Both 20-year-olds made their Victoria’s Secret modeling debut on Tuesday, November 10 – but looking at the photos from the fashion show Gigi does not seem happy. Did Hadid think Jenner was given the sexier Victoria’s Secret outfits?
Kendall’s first ensemble of the evening was a light blue jewel-encrusted outfit with a fitted beaded corset. Later in the evening Jenner wowed the crowd with a bold red, yellow and blue corset with flowing black cape. Kendall smiled from ear-to-ear while modeling the sexy outfit.
While Kendall was beaming Gigi could barely manage a smile when stepping out onto the runway in an emerald green butterfly-inspired bustier with a green and black cape. It looked like Gigi tried to summon up some enthusiasm for her second outfit – a firefighter-themed underwear ensemble but Hadid didn’t seem happy about modeling that outfit at all.
Backstage cameras snapped photos of Kendall and Gigi – and Hadid posted one on Instagram. “No one I would rather shared my VS v-cared with ;) This show is genuinely a dream come true. Can’t thank you enough.” The question is – how long did it take TPTB to convince Gigi and Kendall to pose for that VS v-card photo? And why did Gigi call it “my VS v-card” if both models are in the shot?
Though both models representatives deny any animosity Jenner and Hadid have a cold relationship at best. Competing for top modeling jobs and magazine covers has caused a lot of friction and Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid rarely speak to each other unless absolutely necessary.
