RECAP:

On #CelebrityMarriageBootCamp, Reggie says he’s ready to go home because everyone’s crying and these drills are tough. Aubrey and Travis are mucking out the stables and she blames it on him and says it’s because he can’t keep his mouth shut. Aubrey says it’s funny to her that he’s shoveling shit and he complains that she;’s playing with the horses while he’s shoveling. Travis says they should put it in Kendra’s room but Aubrey says they have enough shit to deal with.

Kendra and Hank talk and he says it’s been an emotional roller coaster. She says they have unique issues they’re dealing with that no one else can relate to. Travis heads to the table and says the breakfast looks good. Tami comes in and then Elizabeth and Jim come get them for a drill. Mike and Lauren are excited to be outside for a drill in the fresh air. Tami sees water and says she won’t get on water and says they lost their mind.

Jim says teamwork is the key to any relationship. Mike tells Lauren he’s the better team player but she says he doesn’t listen. Elizabeth says there is a canoe for each couple. One will have an oar and the other will be the navigator. She says the have to collect rings through gates and the couple who does the best wins a private lunch date. Kendra says she and Hank do a lot of athletic stuff together. Tami, Travis, Jeff, Lauren and Kendra are told they are paddling.

Jeff is confident. Reggie, Aubrey, Jordan, Mike and Hank will be the navigators. Tami says they give Reggie the directions job when he doesn’t even like to talk. Jim says the paddler in each canoe will be blindfolded. Reggie tells Tami he’s got her and Mike says Lauren doesn’t even know how to paddle. She thinks she’ll drown. Jim wishes them lick and they head to the canoes. Jim says it’s all about communication and how they navigate conflict.

Elizabeth says they are blindfolding the more dominant partner to force communication. Kendra freaks and says she’s getting motion sick. Tami is scared of water and can’t swim. Jim tells them to start paddling. Reggie tells Tami they’re going sideways and they get stuck. Elizabeth says Reggie is being too passive and can’t take leadership. Hank gives Kendra solid directions and he says some of them are stuck and he thinks they’ve got this.

Mike and Jordan are jammed up because they’re not speaking up. Mike says he’s used to chaos and makes decisions while she’s screaming at him. Reggie tells he can’t push the boat and tells Tami to put the oar in the water. Tami says she’s done with this. Reggie tells her she’s panicking and Jim says she’s quitting. She pulls off her blindfold and walks away. Elizabeth says you can’t just quit because it gets hard and says Tami yells and Reggie checks out. She says they have to address this with them.

Aubrey and Travis are out front and Hank is trying to catch up. Kendra freaks and then he talks her down and Jim and Elizabeth agree they’re communicating better. Mike and Lauren are struggling because he’s not communicating. Jeff has no clue how they’re doing and Jordan says he doesn’t understand how she communicates. Aubrey uses her foot to turn them around and Elizabeth tells Jim to tell her no cheating. Jim yells at her to get her feet out of the water.

Aubrey says she’s not Christopher Columbus but Travis says she is since he was looking for the East Indies when he found America. Lauren hears nothing from Mike and she tells him to stop moving the boat. Jim says Lauren is communicating poorly with Mike and he’s not giving up enough direction. Hank and Kendra are catching up and Elizabeth says Hank is speaking her language. Aubrey and Travis are screaming at each other. Hank tells Kendra she’s doing good and they’re coming on the last one.

Aubrey and Travis run into them. Aubrey gets the third ring and tells Travis to turn the boat around. Jim says the stress is getting to Jeff and Jordan. Kendra and Hank are on their last loop and Elizabeth says their communication is great if it’s something they don’t mind talking about it. Hank tells Kendra they have to hurry to beat them. Aubrey screams at Travis to row faster so they can win. He says she put the fear of God in him and they won. Kenra and Hank come in second.

Hank says she was listening so good and says he should blind fold her more often. Hank says they came in second but they cheated. Jim and Elizabeth talk about how she tried to take over. Mike tells Lauren to shut up when he keeps turning and she says he’s going to tip them. She tells him he has awful communication skills. Hank gives Kendra a big kiss and says that’s the way to tune everyone else out. Jeff and Jordan are communicating terribly and Elizabeth says she has no sense of him.

The other couples finish and Jeff loses his temper and says f-k this challenge. They are both cursing and dropping f bombs. They ask Reggie what happened and he says she quit on him. Elizabeth says he shuts down when she goes off. Jim says Jeff and Jordan were yelling profanities and Jeff was condescending while Elizabeth had no sense of Jeff’s needs. Lauren is competitive and Mike was thinking it through and that was their disconnect.

Elizabeth says Hank brought her back to being grounded. Elizabeth says they were in first but not exactly. Elizabeth says the winners are the ones who must successfully navigated the course. Jim says they started off good then she got frustrated and tried to take over his role by putting her hands and feet in the water. She says Kendra and Hank won. Later Aubrey says they were cheated and lost their trophy to the cheaters. Kendra says everyone is mad at them right now.

Jim says they need to figure out what triggered Tami to quit and says communication break downs lead to relationship break ups. They come to talk to Tami who is moping in bed. She says she’s a black girl from New York who doesn’t need to be in the water. Elizabeth says she could communicate that. Tami says she was fearful and can’t communicate when she’s scared for her life. She asks if Reggie can help when she’s afraid and Tami says no.

She says she’s the only person she and her daughters have. Elizabeth says she can’t go through life with no one to take care of her when things are tough. Elizabeth says they don’t have a plan for when Tami panics and says she wants more for her. She says she needs to figure out how Reggie can help when she gets triggered. Tami crawls back under her blanket to pout some more. Aubrey asks Jeff how he’s feeling and he says he has a bad temper.

Then Jim goes to talk to Jordan and she says they’re both mad and it was frustrating. She says when people yell at her she shuts down. She says she needs someone to just talk to her calmly and Jim says Jeff is not that way. She says Jeff needs to work on that. Jeff says it’s all on him or he’ll drift into the wall. He says if he’s not in control, they’ll drown. Aubrey listens and thinks. Jeff says he’s done and he doesn’t want to talk but Jim tells him to come sit.

Aubrey and Travis come with booze to see Tami and Reggie. Tami says she was having an anxiety attack then the blindfold was there. Aubrey asks if Reggie cared more about the competition and he says it’s stupid. She says she stood up for him and he says he needs to get a tissue and says he doesn’t give a f-k about this camera or what they think about him. Tami says that’s not the way to talk to her and he says he doesn’t want to talk about this shit.

Jeff tells Jim he has to carry the relationship and Jordan says she doesn’t agree with that. She has a home in North Carolina and it hasn’t burned down yet. Jim says they could have just paddled and enjoyed each others company. Jeff says he can’t do that and Jim says he has something broken in him that he has to compete that hard. He says they’re going to fix it. Jordan says this is huge and if they can’t fix this, marriage won’t work.

Aubrey and Travis tell them that they said Kendra and Hank won instead of them even though they came in first. Tami tells them to rise up and they all drink some more. Jim and Elizabeth talk about getting Hank to finally come clean to Kendra about what went on with him and the transgender woman. They are called to the bootcamp room for another drill. They all sit and Jim says today is all about communication. He says arguing is a form of communication and says fighting healthy is good.

Jordan says their fights are not productive. Jim says you need to hear what your spouse thinks you sound like. Elizabeth says they need to swap roles and argue as the other person. Jim says you can get so caught up in your own stuff and don’t realize you’re fighting dirty. Elizabeth says this will help them realize how hard words are destroying their relationship. She says to imitate body language and everything.

Mike and Lauren start first and then she does Mike as all paranoid. Elizabeth says he doesn’t trust Lauren. Elizabeth tells Lauren to stop when she calls Mike crazy. She says they can’t call each other stupid or crazy can can’t talk each other out of their feelings. Elizabeth says you don’t have to agree but do need to validate what they’re feeling. Aubrey and Travis are next. They go off on each other and it gets ugly fast. Elizabeth asks how that felt.

Aubrey says she makes logical arguments and Travis says he’s right too. Jim asks if she’d rather be right or happy. She says right then says Hitler was happy but not right. Tami says that made her clutch her pearls. Elizabeth says to attack the issue not each other. Jeff and Jordan are next. Jordan does a stupid voice and Elizabeth says he was doing bigger then Aubrey comes up to be Jeff. Jeff hangs his head when Elizabeth says it was a good job.

Jeff says that felt terrible. He says Aubrey was just yelling and he couldn’t comprehend anything. Jim says them shutting down will kill their relationship. Tami and Reggie are next. Reggie starts cursing and she says she’s out and whatever. Jim tells Reggie he played injured in sports but doesn’t stay in the game with her. Kendra and Hank are next. Hank starts talking about how he’s almost 30 and it needs to be about her. Kendra fumbles and Tami says she’s tired of her.

Elizabeth gets in front of Kendra and plays her. She says she’s Kendra then tells Kendra she’s Hank and says she got this phone call. She starts ranting like Kendra and says he’s ruining her and it’s always on her. Jeff says she was on the money and Kendra just stares. Elizabeth says he should be out there killing for her. Elizabeth says she knows he cheated on her and she’s having to carry the load for them and the kids. Tami loves it and Reggie says Elizabeth deserved an Academy award.

Elizabeth asks Kendra how it felt to be on the receiving end of that. Hank says they’ve had enough fights in front of everyone. Then Kendra comes at Hank and says she can’t defend him anymore and says he needs to speak up for himself. Kendra says this drill put a lot in perspective for her and says Hank needs to speak the truth. Elizabeth says to remember these lessons when they fight so their relationships have a fighting chance.

Tami says Mike’s sh-t is deep and asks if he acts like that now. Lauren says it’s still there and Aubrey says it’s probably from the drugs. Lauren says it’s a combination of that and years of him being taken advantage of. Mike comes in and asks if it’s an intervention but they tell him no. Kendra says to Jim that they only have a couple of days left and Hank needs to make a decision to speak and getting his answers. She says carrying it for him is getting heavy.

She says she doesn’t want the recording to be the last thing and says he has to stand up. Hank comes in and Jim tells Kendra to tell him. She says he has to find a way to talk and she can’t be his puppet anymore. Hank says it will be when he thinks the time is right but Jim says it will kill their relationship. Reggie says you can’t even try to understand what they are going on. Hank says there will be exploiting this and Jim asks him to come with him. Elizabeth sits down with Kendra.

She says maybe Jim can make headway with him. Kendra says if he doesn’t talk, they can’t get the help they need. Jim takes Hank to the pool room and they sit. Jim says confession clears your name, helps Kendra and lets you move on. He asks if Hank is willing to do that.
