On tonight’s all new episode of “NCIS: New Orleans”, an old friend of Pride’s has come into the NCIS station asking for help. Navy Lieutenant Commander Gabriel Lynn believes he was poisoned. He was out jugging the other day when he passed out and was immediately taken to the hospital where it was revealed he was suffering from the same radiation (polonium) that was previously used in a former KGB’s death.

Hence, the odds aren’t good for Gabriel but before he goes he wants to at least help with his own murder investigation. And that brings us to why he approached Pride. Gabriel asked Pride to find his killer and just like he was hoping – his friend promised he would not stop until he did so.

Yet, in the meantime, Gabriel also had to subject himself to answering some pretty hard questions. Like who would want to hurt him? Someone had to get close to Gabriel in order to poison him. So he now has to start suspecting his closest friends and colleagues.

And, on top of that, Gabriel also had to submit to a physical. Loretta needed to know when Gabriel was poisoned to help narrow down the list of suspects but when Gabriel saw how Loretta was reacting to him (the downtrodden face and her inability to look him in the eye) – he wanted to know how bad his condition really was. Apparently he hadn’t been paying attention at the hospital. So when Loretta explained to him what was going to happen to him (and after he heard he was going to be experiencing a long and painful death) – he wished Loretta hadn’t told him a thing.

Though one of the suspects Gabriel had mentioned turned out to be a good lead. Gabriel worked as a Chief Naval Therapist and over the course of his career he had run into a man named Dominic. Dominic was once a part of the Coast Guard but Gabriel had suggested he’d be relieved of duty after the other man failed his psyche exam.

So not only did Dominic have motive but he also had access to polonium. He was red-flagged after having done a Google search on the stuff. But with the help of CGIS Special Agent Abigail Borin – the team quickly ruled out Dominic once it was showed he was working with entirely different type of polonium.

The team hadn’t known about the different types of polonium until Sebastian had told them about it. Yet, once Sebastian did find the unique signature to what poisoned Gabriel, they were left with one suspect everyone had wished they could rule out – Gabriel’s brother Cam.

Gabriel and Cam had falling out after their father died and both men had inherited part of their father’s land in the will. Land they are recently in court about. And though that land was worthless when they were younger – recently the land value had gone up after some developers started to buy up all the land surrounding theirs. Meaning there is now millions of dollars on the table.

And Cam is a really good suspect. He works at an oil refinery and had access to polonium because of it.

However Cam would never poison himself. And someone had attempted to kill Cam with his water bottles. Cam’s water bottles had been drugged with polonium and because he gets its delivered – anyone could have had access to it. Though having that much evidence did help Sebastian in narrowing people who came into close contact with that particular batch of radiation.

And, sadly, it turns out Cam’s wife had been the one behind it all. Mrs. Lynn got the polonium from a plastics factory her father owns and at first it appeared that she was only going to kill her bother-in-law but she changed her mind about Cam after her husband started to snoop around.

Apparently, Mrs. Lynn wanted to get out from underneath her wealthy father’s thumb and Cam fell through on all his promises anyway. So she was going to kill both brothers and keep all the money she made from selling the land to herself. But she got caught before she could hurt her husband and once Cam realized what kind of woman he was married to – he decided to make amends to his brother.

Prior to Gabriel’s poisoning, Gabriel and Cam were always fighting but ultimately they depended on each other in the end. And most importantly Cam supported his brother when Gabriel needed him the most.

And as for, the team, they finally saw that life is too short to spend it hiding. So LaSalle wen skydiving despite his fear of heights and Brody went out on a date. But probably the ot shocking thing to come out from this experience is when Agent Borin told Pride she’s thinking about transferring over to NCIS.

THE END!
