Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey announced their intention to get a divorce several months ago, and they’ve both been trying to move on since then. Actually, scratch that, Nick Cannon moved on before the divorce was even official, but now he’s finally free to roam the seas of Hollywood and snag himself a rebound wife. Mariah, on the other hand, is seething with jealousy every time Nick is linked to a new woman.
According to the latest report from Star Magazine, the latest rumor floating around is that Nick Cannon is dating Nicole Scherzinger. While Mariah was going to be jealous no matter who Nick ended up dating, she’s reportedly black with rage that the woman in question ended up being Nicole Scherzinger. Star’s source explains, “She’s always hated Nicole. She’s very possessive and still thinks of him as her property.”
Since Nick and Nicole reportedly had a brief fling in 2008 before Mariah and Nick got married, Mariah’s always been jealous of her. Plus, Nicole Scherzinger did just split from her boyfriend of seven years, Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton.
Honestly, it seems like Nicole and Nick are just using each other as rebounds, but of course Mariah Carey is going to be jealous. She’s always been possessive about Nick Cannon, and a divorce doesn’t seem to have changed her mindset about him. Some reports have claimed that she’s tried everything to get him to return to her, even putting aside the probability that he cheated on her several times before their breakup became official. Unfortunately for her, Nick Cannon is done putting up with her diva behavior and insane demands, and even though he’s under strict rules not to talk about their marriage or their divorce, it’s clear that he’s ecstatic to be free of that ball and chain.
