As more details emerge about Bobbi Kristina Brown, daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston, things are starting to look pretty bad for her boyfriend/husband, Nick Gordon. It seems Nick knows it, too. According to Radar Online, Nick has retained a lawyer to fight any potential charges. Nick’s also taking legal action against the Brown and Houston families for keeping him from Bobbi Kristina Brown’s bedside. The Browns and Houstons have banned Nick from visiting Bobbi Kristina since the 21-year-old woman was found face-down in a tubful of water at her Georgia home. It’s clear that many of Bobbi Kristina’s relatives think Nick is bad news. A restraining order from last year already prevented him from seeing some of Bobbi Kristina’s family members.
After suspicious injuries were found on Bobbi Kristina, the police decided to open a criminal investigation of the incident. The bruises on her chest and her bloodied mouth were of particular interest to law enforcement. Nick claims the chest bruises were a result of his CPR attempts, but there’s no word yet on how he explained the marks on her face. With a cloud of suspicion hanging over him, it appears that Nick thought it best to fight the Browns and at least make an effort to see Bobbi Kristina. However, the Browns aren’t buying it. In recent interviews, several Brown family members have indicated that they suspected foul play and they pointed the finger directly at Nick.
Still, there are many unanswered questions about Bobbi Kristina’s state of mind in the weeks leading up to the incident in her bathroom. According to Hollywood Life, Bobbi Kristina was in a car crash just days before she was found unresponsive. The official police report said that she lost control of her Jeep Liberty, crossed into another lane and smashed into another vehicle. Could Bobbi Kristina’s reckless driving been a suicide attempt? We may never know for sure, but it could mean that Bobbi wasn’t thinking clearly. Perhaps the stress of Bobbi Kristina’s troubled relationship with Nick was starting to take its toll.
Whatever the case, nearly everyone can agree that Nick Gordon has been a negative influence on Bobbi Kristina. The police issued a search warrant and reportedly found drugs at their home in Roswell. It’s safe to say that what happened to Bobbi Kristina is related to her connection to Nick, either directly or indirectly.
