It appears that overnight the team’s newest number has suddenly become infamous and not in a way anyone would want. It seems that before his personal information was hacked, Suleiman Khan was a billionaire entrepreneur that was on the brink of creating an experimental bio-tech chip. However someone wanted to stop him and they didn’t want to jeopardize his company while they were at it.

On tonight’s all new episode of “Person of Interest”, Samaritan as it turns out didn’t just wanted to kill Khan. They wanted to decimate his whole life and discredit him on top of it. First they made him lose a large chunk of his money is a stock crash. And then they hacked him.

As the world’s leading company in internet security, having the boss of said company get hacked was a like a slap in the face.

If Samaritan hadn’t also falsified records to make it appear that was Khan was embezzling from the company then getting hacked alone would have been a big enough black eye. But they did put in those records so Khan was fired from his own company. And Samaritan then went on to release Khan’s personal emails. Thereby destroying every relationship he ever had.

Most especially with his wife after the naked photos of her (that he promised to delete) just popped up everywhere online.

So Khan lost everything and yet Samaritan still wasn’t done with him. Truthfully, while strange to say, Samaritan actually had a personal grunge with Khan. And because of that it told Control not to interfere. You see it made sure Khan got arrested. Then they created even more false records by making it seem like Khan was wanted in at least five states.

Meaning Fusco and Reece could say all they want but never get Khan released into their custody. And, just as he was at his most vulnerable, Khan found himself in a holding pin surrounding by criminals – the lights got cut off. So before Khan could end up a dead man – Reese intervened!

He would have done so earlier but Finch hadn’t wanted him to break his cover. So at first he held off and later as it got more difficult for him to sit back he then started to make suggestions. He simply asked Finch to bring in someone else.

That way they could protect their POI and Finch would have some practice in doing without Reese. And that last part is just as important as protecting the innocent. Because, lately, Reese has been heavy handed with his hints and apparently the spy game is something he doesn’t want to do for the rest of his life.

That therapist he’s seeing kind of introduced him to wanting more.

What she told him instead was how to drive a getaway car because the one he was using to transport inadvertently crashed on their way to freedom. And so they ended up depending on Root. Who surprised everyone by coming to rescue.

Root was digging into Samaritan for the Machine when she received a distress call so she dropped everything else in order to go help her friends. And its good thing too. You see Khan woke up in their care he was more than just a tad on the confused side.

Apparently he knows he’s being targeted by an artificial intelligence but he doesn’t know why. A couple months ago he saw that someone had been using his company to fit their own agenda and after he began investigating it that’s when everything in his life began to go wrong. So Finch looked into where the trail ended up and while he got answers – he refused to share them with Khan.

So Khan went his own way. He needed answers and if Finch wasn’t going to provide it then he looked elsewhere. Until ultimately he found Samaritan and its friends.

Thus, the team lost their POI number in the end. But it was a loss they could accept. Particularly now that they know what Samaritan was using his company for.

It seems that in order to look for the Machine, Samaritan needed to use nontraditional methods. So that’s when it started to use Khan’s anti-viral software to check every mainframe humanly possible. And now it knows that the Machine isn’t connected to any one system.

In other words Samaritan is getting closer and closer to find Finch and his guys. And after they lost both Shaw and Carter, the team might not survive losing anyone else!

THE END!
