Phaedra Parks, Apollo Nida Divorce: Real Housewives of Atlanta Sells Georgia Home

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks is preparing for her divorce from Apollo Nida and has reportedly sold her Atlanta, Georgia home for $349,000, which has earned her a few thousand dollars in profit. Don’t worry, RHOA fans, this doesn’t mean that Phaedra Parks is quitting the show. It just means that she’s beginning the process of divorce from her husband, Apollo Nida.

Just one month earlier, Apollo began his stint serving an eight-year prison sentence for fraud. Phaedra, of course, did not take the news lightly, but she’s now doing everything in her power to end her marriage. Even though Apollo Nida is in prison, Phaedra is not letting her stop that from moving on, starting with selling one of their homes and putting it on the market. Considering that Apollo will be in prison for eight years, that’s a lot of time to move on – and that will eventually involve getting a divorce and finding herself a new boyfriend.

Even though Phaedra might not like taking advantage of her marriage troubles, the fact that she and Apollo Nida are ending their relationship and getting a divorce has been a huge boon to The Real Housewives of Atlanta. It seems like every Real Housewives show with convicts on the air is doing very well with ratings, whereas the ones with ‘less drama’ aren’t doing so hot. Take, for example, The Real Housewives of New Jersey with Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice, both of whom have been given prison sentences. While the show has been dealing with Teresa’s imprisonment, the ratings have never been higher – and now that Teresa’s off to jail, there is even talk of the show getting cancelled.

While that won’t happen to the Real Housewives of Atlanta, at least Phaedra Parks has some real estate to tide her over financially.
