Pippa Middleton Gets Slammed By PETA For Eating Whale Meat

Pippa Middleton is being pilloried by PETA and others for bragging about eating whale meat. Pippa Middleton is the Katherine Heigl of the royal family, always putting her foot in her mouth and not appreciating what she has. For example, Pippa writes for The Telegraph in the UK [again, because of her royal connections], and like the brilliant and insightful person that she is, she decided to write that she has discovered whale meat.

I mean, why would people even bring up whale meat when describing a ski trip to Norway in the Telegraph? But of course, it includes notes on what she ate, including, “We dined on smoked whale carpaccio (which tastes similar to smoked salmon but looks more like venison carpaccio), followed by a signature rustic Norwegian dish of salted cod in tomato, with hunks of fresh homemade bread to mop up the sauce.”

And of course, PETA and other save-the-whale organizations were not even remotely happy about Pippa’s ‘culinary adventures’. Considering that Prince William is behind a major wildlife preservation movement, and Pippa is his sister-in-law, she would think twice before eating whale meat, no?

But the backlash to Pippa’s comments have been swift and severe, with Vanessa Williams-Grey [of the Whale and Dolphin Conservation] explaining, “This is really disappointing news, particularly as Pippa is so high-profile. Killing whales is cruel, there is no humane way to kill them and many are slaughtered using brutal harpoon grenades. It might have been better for Pippa to take a whale-watch trip in Norway. She may then have thought twice about condoning and indeed, promoting, this cruel and unnecessary trade.”

Oh, but that would require Pippa to actually think about her actions before doing them, no? And unfortunately for us, Pippa doesn’t do that. Pippa just does as Pippa wants, and then deals with the consequences after.
