Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss and her husband, Todd Tucker, are trying to get pregnant and have begun in-vitro fertilization treatments to have a baby. Even before Kandi and Todd’s wedding, rumors have been popping up that the RHOA star was pregnant – but they never came to fruition. It’s no secret that Kandi desperately wanted to have a baby with Todd. The couple has talked about it openly on the Bravo reality TV show and were even spotted perusing baby clothes and furniture.
Kandi Burruss opened up about her struggles to get pregnant in an interview with E! News and confirmed that she has started IVF treatments. Kandi explained, “We have started the process of in-vitro. So just pray for us that everything is great and we get a healthy baby! My family definitely, they definitely want a baby for me and Todd. I have a little time off away from the cameras, but I’m never really off. So much to do, nonstop, and we’re trying to make a baby right now. I’m off from the cameras, but not off.”
Kandi has always been open about her desire to get pregnant with another baby, but her timing to start IVF treatments is questionable and has us wondering if she is trying to get pregnant to save her marriage to Todd Tucker. Todd and Kandi were the picture-perfect couple on Real Housewives of Atlanta, aside from their typical family drama. But, on the last season of RHOA, we saw a new side of Todd – and his and Kandi’s marriage seemed strained and they weren’t the happy couple that we remembered.
Perhaps the underlying cause of their bickering was their frustrations over not being able to get pregnant. Or maybe their marriage is not as perfect as we thought it was and Kandi is trying to get pregnant to save their relationship.
