Given his situation with women from his past, Rosewood felt it would be in his best interest to simply take Villa of all people to the latest runway show.

That way she can act as his friend as well as be a potential buffer if Rosewood were to need to one. However it wasn’t long after the show wrapped up that Rosewood ended up ditching his very good friend in order to accept a personal invitation from the designer to meet backstage. The same designer that he had apparently first met years ago when they had been a teenagers in high school and who was now going by another name. To match the lifestyle.

But as it turns out Gigi Gaston hadn’t asked Rosewood backstage to reminisce over what could have been or even to flirt. She asked him to meet her because she had really needed help. Someone has been threatening her lately and she feels like the person might have upgraded to attempted murder.

Gigi sadly had an unfortunate rash on her back that her general doctor couldn’t explain. So Gigi went to Rosewood in order have him look into the rash but also keep an investigation on the down low.

Apparently Gigi’s company was about to make a multi-million dollar deal and any word or mere hint of a scandal would have detonated it. Thus Rosewood decided to follow Gigi’s lead on this one and have Villa look into anyone who might have a problem with Gigi or her company but admittedly on the side. And to further keep things under wraps, Rosewood also went to a doctor friend of his Mike who could treat Gigi for her rash.

Mike is a talented doctor that specializes in infectious diseases and so he was able to help Gigi. But Rosewood might have wished for his friend to ease up on flirting with Villa.

In fact Villa and Mike hit it off right away and they seemed to have exchanged numbers without Rosewood knowing about until afterwards. So sure there was some jealousy though no one used that specific term. And later Rosewood kept finding some reason or another to butt heads with Mike.

Mike on the other hand didn’t let Rosewood’s constant interruptions or gruff attitude come in the way of flirting with Villa. Therefore Captain Hornstock took it upon himself to do the honors and warn Mike about playing with someone like Villa’s feelings. He said Villa deserved something more than being another notch post.

Though the case itself took an unexpected turn. Mike did find the disease that Gigi had been infected with and it did look like someone had purposely caused it with malicious intent but there were only two suspects that Villa and Rosewood could come up with. Gigi’s partners Chuy and Angela.

And Angela was later found dead. So that really only left Chuy as their attacker yet the other man had been on a drug fueled binge for the couple of days and says even if he wanted to – he never would have had the strength to do so.

Therefore Chuy came up with another viable suspect. He told them about competing designer Ian Hunter. Ian it seems has had some nasty run-ins with Gigi and the heart of their problems had always been the fact Gigi was the more talented one. And so after they spoke with Chuy, detectives made a move on Ian.

They found him at his fashion event and it had been their plan to bring him as smoothly as possible. However Ian had other ideas. He grabbed one of his own models and was trying to use the woman as a human shield against the cops.

But a gunshot to the knee was what brought him down and in the aftermath Ian had been all too willing to admitting to he used a certain chemical in his latest perfume line. And that chemical had also been known to cause a flesh eating disease. So the police thought Ian had been their guy when instead Ian’s records showed Angela had stopped by his perfume warehouse.

It looks like Angela found out her friends and partners were going to cut her own of the business right before they made it big so it had been her plan all along to kill Gigi as a way of destroying their lives. And the deal. Yet Angela had probably scratched herself and so that’s how she got infected which was later her cause of death.

So the Miami PD didn’t have to worry about a killer when technically their killed was the only one that died.

But with the investigation being wrapped up, Villa ultimately chose to take a chance on Mike and his accept his date on the beach. Now whether that pans out to anything will be interesting to watch.

And in the meantime Rosewood should be worrying about the fact his mother joined Tinder!

THE END!
