Are Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy more than just dance partners on Dancing With The Stars? The couple have undeniable chemistry during their performances on the ABC dancing competition – which has spurred a lot of rumors that they are dating. The thing is Val Chmerkovskiy has been rumored to be dating basically all of his dance partners throughout the years – it’s all a flirtatious façade he puts on to secure America’s votes, and it generally works beautifully for him. Except this time – his dance partner Rumer Willis actually wants to date him, which is making things a bit awkward.
Recently, Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy recently stopped by Howard Stern’s radio show for an interview – Howard demanded to know if the rumors are true and if Rumer and Val are dating. Rumer instantly denied the rumors, and insisted that even if she got eliminated she still wouldn’t date Val Chmerkovskiy. Howard Stern didn’t believe Rumer though, even he could tell that she wasn’t being truthful about her feelings toward Val – and Howard refused to drop the issue and continued interrogating Rumer and her relationship, but she stuck to her guns.
Why would Rumer deny her feelings for Val Chmerkovskiy? Well, insiders say that Val doesn’t reciprocate her crush and he has made it very clear to Rumer that there is nothing going on between them. A DWTS source dished, “You can tell at rehearsals that Rumer is infatuated with Val, she follows him around like a lost puppy. It is literally killing her inside that he isn’t interested in her. And, it’s brutal that he openly flirts with her for publicity – and then behind closed doors he informs her it was all an act and his feelings haven’t changed.”
We are going to have to agree with Howard Stern on this one – it is so obvious that Rumer has feelings for Val, despite what she says about her dance partner. Then again, we would deny our feelings if the person we liked didn’t like us back too. What Val is doing to Rumer is brutal; he knows she actually likes him and he is manipulating her feelings just to drum up some publicity and votes.
