Are Dancing With The Stars partners Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy dating or is it a showmance? Well, Rumer seems to think that they are and she is smitten with her pro dancing partner, but Val seems to have a different take on their relationship – or lack of. Since Dancing With The Stars 2015 kicked off, rumors have been flying around the internet that Rumer and Val are dating, and their undeniable chemistry on the dance floor and behind the scenes has only encouraged fans to think that they are more than just dance partners.
Val Chmerkovskiy has earned quite a reputation over the years on Dancing With The Stars as a serial flirter, and every season he implies that he is dating his partner and sells their showmance on-stage and off-stage to drum up fan votes. But, his DWTS partner Rumer doesn’t realize that it is all just a showmance, and not an actual romance. When rehearsals began this season it was obvious that Rumer had a huge crush on Val, and when the cameras started rolling and he began flirting with her – she totally got the wrong idea.
According to insiders, Rumer honestly thinks that she and Val are in a relationship – and he isn’t correcting her because he wants to keep the showmance going and thinks they have a good chance of winning this year. A Dancing With The Stars insider dished to CDL, “Obviously Rumer didn’t watch previous seasons of DWTS, or else she would realize that Val is acting the same way he did with his old partners. It’s really heart-breaking because Rumer has so many self-esteem issues when it comes to men, because of her mom Demi, she was so thrilled that someone was finally noticing her. She is going to be devastated when the show is over, and so is her faux relationship.”
