Did Selena Gomez go into a jealous rage when rumors that ex-boyfriend Orlando Bloom is dating Kendall Jenner were sparked after Robert Downey, Jr. made a lighthearted remark at an awards ceremony on October 30? The comment was all in good fun and Bloom laughed and said he wouldn’t mind having Kendall’s phone number.
Robert Downey, Jr. probably didn’t mean to upset SelGo with his comment – Robert laughingly made it when introducing Orlando at an awards ceremony. Bloom was at the Beverly Hilton Hotel to receive the Britannia Humanitarian Award for his work with UNICEF. As the festivities got underway Robert made a joke that the award was going to someone who’s compassionate “when he’s not swinging at Justin Bieber or dating Kendall Jenner.”
Before Orlando started the serious part of the acceptance speech he flippantly said there was no current romance going on with Kendall, in fact Bloom has never met Kendall, but he certainly wouldn’t mind having the reality star/model’s phone number! The comment merely highlighted Orlando’s sense of humor – it wasn’t meant to be taken seriously.
Why in the world would Selena Gomez be enraged by a silly little comment about Orlando Bloom dating Kendall Jenner? Well, SelGo briefly dated the handsome humanitarian after a painful break-up with the Biebs. The celebrities then played musical relationship chairs for a little while. Bloom hooked up with Gomez and Bieber hooked up with Miranda Kerr – who just happens to be Orlando’s ex-wife – at least that’s the gossip.
There’s a little more to the story though because Justin allegedly had a fling with Miranda back in 2012. And when Bloom and Kerr called it quits in 2014 – just about the same time the Biebs and SelGo ended their love affair – Selena decided dating Orlando was the perfect way to make Justin Bieber jealous.
