Bay finds that Emmett is avoiding any discussion of what triggered the UMKC investigation. Meanwhile, Daphne goes to see Regina at the coffee house where several shocks await her, including one that will put her freedom at risk.”

Emmett is in town on tonight’s episode of “Switched at Birth” but his visit doesn’t appear to be going well. And that’s because of his actions and no one else’s. It appears that Emmett has taken the stance where he just wants to forget everything that happened while he was away. Meaning he wants to wipe the slate clean for Bay and not with her.

So everything he’s been doing, since he came back, is making her feel like nothing ever happened and they weren’t in a fight before he left. And that in turn is frustrating her. Because she does wants to talk to her boyfriend about the Tank incident. No matter how much it might end up hurting them in the long run.

Admittedly, it would be easier for her to simply let Tank be the bad guy. And as Bay later recounted to her father, she also doesn’t want to unnecessarily burden Emmett with the truth. But like John told her – he still needs to know.

So he’s going to hear what happened whether he likes it or not!

In the interim, though, Bay still has put on a smiling face now that her grandmother is in town for a visit. Kathryn’s mother swooped in with a friend of hers yet the older woman isn’t acting like her normal self. If anything she’s acting like she’s in a relationship with her friend, Lucille.

And even John thinks so. He saw the way the two women were behaving and then he tried to talk to his wife about something being there. Kathryn on the other hand is refusing to even consider the idea that her mom might be a lesbian. In her mind, that’s humanly impossible seeing as her parents were married (happily that is) for over 40 years.

So, rather than go back and forth with her husband about it, Kathryn decided to confront her mom. And surprisingly her mother’s news isn’t about her and Lucille.

Sadly, Kathryn’s mom has Alzheimer. She was diagnosed over a year ago and she’s just been traveling ever since. So upon hearing her mother’s news – Kathryn asked her to move in with them. But her mom turned her offer down because apparently she’s moving to France in order to open a B&B with Lucille.

The idea of which Kathryn find ludicrous.

Kathryn doesn’t think her mom is thinking about the future. Like how is she supposed to see her doctors regularly? Plus, hearing that Lucille was thrown into the picture had automatically put her on the defense about the whole French trip.

And then there’s Daphne. Daphne, like her grandmother, has clearly inherited the inability to think things through. So when she found herself trapped because of the storm at Regina’s new coffee place with her old friend Nacho of all people – she decided to talk to him despite her mother’s warnings.

Nacho was the guy Daphne had committed vandalism with some months ago and yet they both got out of it when Bay took the blame for everything. So technically Nacho should be grateful and that’s why Daphne decided to assure him he didn’t have to worry about an arrest warrant. And what does he choose to do next after he heard such great news? He tries to blackmail her.

Nacho wanted thousands of dollars (allegedly for him and his daughter) or he was going to give the cop an anonymous tip about who really vandalize that construction site. And, once, Regina found out what he was going to do – she attempted to get the money together to pay him.

But her partner (and possibly something more) stopped her from doing so. Apparently, after one conversation with Eric – Nacho no longer was a threat to her or Daphne. So it looks like Eric is more than a pretty face and if he’s scary enough to frighten away Nacho – what else is in his past?

Back at the house, though, things took a turn for the worse. Because, after hours of ignoring the subject, Emmett was finally ready to talk but in the end he didn’t like what he had to hear. Emmett didn’t like the gray. He wanted black or white version of the story so that meant either Bay was raped or she slept with someone else.

And when she couldn’t give him a definitive answer – Emmett didn’t really stick around to hear anything else Bay had to say!

So the one good thing that happened back at the house is when Bonnie and Kathryn made up. Ultimately, and on her own, Kathryn had to face facts. And that was her mother is an adult.

And Bonnie can do whatever she likes with her “companion”.

THE END!
