Thing have settled down since the great Spring Break disaster/ triumph. And yet what happened in Mexico doesn’t always stay in Mexico.

There, Travis realized that he had developed feeling for Bay. And that had the potential of wrecking their friendship. So, at the time, Travis wisely decided to keep his feelings to himself and simply continue on being Bay’s friend. However its hard to stay someone’s friend when there are other feelings in the way and it’s those same feelings that come rushing back when it looks like Bay is interested in someone else.

See, Travis and his friend Garrett had come by the coffee shop and suddenly it was like Travis didn’t even exist. Bay ended up having eyes only for Travis’s friend. And naturally she asked Travis to tell her all about him.

Garrett had definitely sent out the vibes in the shot time they talked so she borrowed her sister’s red top and then proceeded to make a move. She showed up his job and the two began talking and talking. Until eventually he invited her out to dinner.

And after playing coy for a bit, what do you know, she was free!

Yet her date meant she couldn’t go over to her parents for a family dinner. And so seizing the opportunity, especially as Daphne’s boyfriend was also having dinner with his parents that same night, Daphne decided to use the dinner as way to introduce Mingo and Mingo’s parents to John and Kathryn. Plus get to know them in return.

She had told Mingo that it was going to better that way because then it would have gotten the dreaded meet the parents out of the way in one fell swoop. But she hadn’t counted on either of their parents making this particular meeting extra hard.

And it turns out she should have.

Mingo is apparently a nickname based off of Mingo’s actual last name. So if John had known that he was in fact meeting the son of Larry Shimingo beforehand then there never would have been a dinner to begin with. Because Larry just happens to be his former business manager and it’s technically Larry’s fault that he’s currently broke.

John had trusted Larry with making sure that everything like taxes and his healthy bank account was properly maintained. And Larry it seems was not worthy of that trust because he went months playing and fast loose with the IRS. Thus John ended up having to come up with a lot of money to keep the government off of his back and that depleted his accounts.

So Daphne and Mingo are unfortunately left feeling like Romeo and Juliet. Their parents hate each other and though the wives were never involved in the original dealings – they’ve clearly have taken sides now that both of their worlds have erupted. Kathryn has had to make sacrifices in the fallout of their financial situation and Mrs. Shimingo wasn’t happy about her husband’s name getting dragged through the mood.

Not that surprisingly, Mrs. Shimingo had been told a different story about what had happened between the guys. Larry told her that it was under John’s orders that performed dirty deals. And that his conscience was suffering because of John. So his wife told him to quit if it was really that bad and that’s what he did.

But is that what happened? As far as Kathryn was aware, Larry went behind her husband’s back and did not have his consent.

So there was some confusion about who was right and nothing was making sense until the husbands got into an argument over a basketball game in the backyard. And from what was said in the heat of the moment, the truth may very well be a bit of both of the men’s tales. John did say Larry could work the gray area but he never told the other man to break the law nor was he informed that what they were doing was illegal. He just that Larry would push back before it ever got to that point.

And so Kathryn told him that not everyone was comfortable with pushing him back. John can be a tad overbearing and if someone not used to standing up to him then it’s pretty hard to start after 20 years in a partnership.

Thus Kathryn told her husband, that despite the disaster of their evening, Mingo was going to be welcomed at their house for as long as Daphne wants him to be.

Meanwhile, though, Bay’s dinner date was just as much as a tragedy. She ran into Tank who was their waiter at this new restaurant they were trying out and merely seeing for herself how fare he’s fallen has now made Bay feel sorry for telling the school about the incident. Please remember that she knows what had happened to her was another one of those gray areas and at the time she didn’t believe Tank should have been punished like any other criminal. So, after her date, Bay had felt like she wanted to do something for him.

And Regina told her that her that one thing she should do was leave him be. Regina understood how hard that might but she had to remind Bay that he needed to move on and she had to give him the opportunity to do that. So Bay chose to try again with Travis’s friend and simply see where that goes.

But as far as Travis, he’s still on the outs with Emmett because of his feelings for Bay and yet those two have to put their issues aside in order to be happy for Melody.

She’s adopting what very well looks like twins and on top of that she’s getting married.

THE END!
