Taylor Swift and Kanye West Making Music Together: Kanye Doesn't 'Discriminate'

Kanye West and Taylor Swift seemed to bury the hatchet at this year’s Grammy Awards, since they were spotted posing for photographs together and generally looking very chummy. However, Kanye also revealed his decision to make music with Taylor Swift, revealing on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show, “Yeah, she wants to get in the studio and we’re definitely going to go in. Any artist with an amazing point of view, perspective, fan base, I’m down to get in the studio and work. I don’t discriminate, I don’t have an elitism of music because of, like, how many Grammys or you know, the amount of ratings you get on an album.”

I love that Kanye adds that he doesn’t ‘discriminate’, as though Taylor is worthy of discrimination. It’s clear that Kanye does look down upon Taylor’s whole shtick, but he’s being the bigger man here – or so he thinks.

However, despite what happened between them a few years ago, it’s clear that Taylor wants to start putting things behind her. She held a grudge against Kanye for a very long time, but she probably realized that there’s no point after seeing his behavior at the Grammys this year. Kanye will be Kanye, and his entire ‘rail against the system’ rants are never personal. He hates authority, and the majority of his frustration is always targeted at the awards shows – not necessarily the artists.

Plus, Taylor probably realizes that people have an image of her as someone who’s uptight and holds grudges, and she probably thinks that a collaboration with Kanye will remove that image.

What do you guys think about a possible Taylor Swift/Kanye West collaboration? Do you think it could be successful, or is it a disaster in the making? Will Kanye and Taylor even get along while making it? Actually, scratch that, we might end up with comedy gold if these two work together.
