The Bachelor 2105 returns on ABC this evening with an all new Monday January 12, season 19 episode 2. On tonight’s show, as Chris continues his quest to find his true love, Chris takes six lucky ladies on the first group date. On the last episode, season 19 began with Iowa farmer and fan favourite Chris Soules who met 30 bachelorettes – an all-time high – the girls competed for the first impression rose. Chris finally offered the coveted rose to one bachelorette, who was surprised to be singled out of this group of outstanding lovely ladies. A long, stressful night ended with the first rose ceremony of the season. However, there was one woman who was in trouble and might not have made it through the night. In the end, a total of 22 women toasted to finding love with Chris. However, in a shocking turn of events, one woman pulled the Bachelor aside and caused one of the most dramatic twists in Bachelor history. Did you watch the last episode? On tonight’s show as per the ABC synopsis, “Chris takes six lucky ladies on the first group date. They attend a rooftop pool party and a tractor race on the streets of Los Angeles. Later, Chris takes a bachelorette on the first one-on-one date with a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon. Next, eleven ladies join Chris for a crazy paintball shootout with zombies. At the rose ceremony, four women are sent home.”

Tonight’s episode of The Bachelor kicks off with Kimberly heading back in to the mansion – she was just eliminated at the first rose ceremony. She cries to Chris Soules that she can’t leave without talking to him because she doesn’t want to walk away that easily. Chris Soules explains to Chris Harrison what is going on – Chris Harrison tells him that if he want Kimberly to stay, then she can stay. Chris Soules heads back in to the mansion and announces to all of the other women that he has decided to let him Kimberly stay even though he originally eliminated her. His decision does not go over well with the other girls.
The next morning Chris Harrison stops by the Bachelor mansion and reveals to the girls that Chris Soules is staying right down the driveway in another house, before he leaves he hands over the first date card of the season. Jade, Tandra, Ashley, McKenzie, Kimberly, and Tara are invited on the first group date and it says “Show me your country.” The other girls are not happy that Kimberly was just let back in the game – and she is invited on the first date.
The six girls head out on their first group date, and meet up with Chris Soules. He tells them that last night was kind of crazy – so he wants them to relax and have a pool party. The girls cheer and begin stripping down to their bikinis and hopping in to the pool. Chris sits down with Kimberly first, and they decide to start over and pretend that last night never happened. Meanwhile back at the mansion, Jillian and Megan decide to break in to Chris’s house and they find his motor cycle and play with his helmet and snoop around his kitchen.
After the pool party, Chris takes his six women in their bathing suits to downtown Los Angeles and surprised them with six tractors. He announces that they are going to have a race in the street so that they can show him just how country they really are. The girls all climb on to their tractors – and Chris shouts “GO” and they take off. Chris laughs at how ridiculously slow they are going. Ashley I. makes it across the finish line finish line first – and is rewarded with some alone time with The Bachelor.
Back at the mansion the other girls are bonding and Julia reveals that she is a single mother and raises her daughter Ireland on her own. She breaks down and cries and reveals that her daughter’s father isn’t in the picture anymore – because he committed suicide when her daughter was just a baby.
On the group date, Chris returns from his alone time with Ashley I. He reveals that even though Ashley won the tractor race, he is taking Mackenzie on a 1-on-1 date. Chris and Mackenzie head off on their date – leaving the other girls devastated. Ashley feels like she was “jipped” because she won the competition and Chris didn’t choose her for the 1-on-1 date.
Chris takes Mackenzie out on a date – and she begins rambling about how much she likes his nose and how “prominent” it is. Chris laughs along – but confesses in his diary time that he thinks she is a little strange. Then, Mackenzie shocks him even more and begins asking him if he believes in aliens and admits that she might have seen one before. The conversation turns a little more serious and Mackenzie explains that she hasn’t been on a date in a year because she has a one year old son that she is raising by herself. After showing Chris pictures of her son – Chris presents her with a date rose and she giddily accepts it.
At the mansion the next date card arrives – and Chris invites Meghan on a 1-on-1 date with him. While Mackenzie fills the girls in on how many times she kissed Chris, Meghan gets ready for her date. Chris arrives to pick her up and they head out in a limo, Chris refuses to tell her where they are going and wants to keep it a surprise. Chris takes her to the airport and they board a private plane – and land in Las Vegas.
They get off their private plane and then board a helicopter a take a tour of the Grand Canyon from the sky. They land the helicopter and have a little picnic and Meghan opens up to Chris and reveals that right before she joined The Bachelor, her father passed away from a massive heart attack – and coming here to meet him was a “huge leap of faith.”
After their chat, Chris presents Meghan with a rose – and they go for a walk and kiss at the Grand Cayon. Back at the mansion, another date card arrives. Kelsey, Trina, Alyssa, Tracy, Jillian, Becca, Amber, Julia, Ashley, Kaitlyn, and Britt are all invited on the next group date. The date card is very cryptic and says, “Til death do us part.”
The girls head out in a limo and arrive in a dark parking lot with zombies running around – after panicking, Chris arrives and comforts them. He reveals that they are going to go through a paintball course and they have to “kill” all of the zombies. Crazy Ashley S. apparently doesn’t get the instructions, and thinks that she has to shoot the other girls. They head through the course, and Ashley continues to act crazy with her paintball gun – Chris laughs that she is “in a different world.” They finally kill all of the zombies and sit down to have drinks with Chris. Kaitlyn slips away with Chris for some alone time, he loves how funny and witty she is, and is baffled about why she is into him.
Ashley finds Chris and totally freaks him out – she tells him that they “have to go hide” and they begin walking around the paintball course. Chris is baffled by her – and he really doesn’t understand what she is talking about. Kaitlyn laughs that she is more scared of Ashley than she is of the zombies. Chris tries to send Ashley home to go to bed – and tells her they can spend time together tomorrow. Chris spends some time with some more of the girls, and then it is time for him to hand out the date rose – he announces that he is giving the rose to Kaitlyn.
It’s time for the cocktail party – the girls scramble to get some time with Chris before the 2nd rose ceremony. Mackenzie, Meghan, and Kaitlyn have nothing to worry about because they already received date roses. Whitney jumps at the chance to steal Chris and they get to know each other over drinks. Then, Chris has a hot makeout session with Ashley – while all of the other girls watch out of the window. Becca doesn’t take it well, and is upset to see Chris kissing other girls. Meanwhile, Chris starts kissing Amber outside and inside Jordan is getting wasted and has clearly had too much to drink. She heads outside and corners Chris and makes a fool of herself.
It’s finally time for the rose ceremony. The girls line up and Chris begins passing out roses. He calls out the following girls’ names: Britt, Ashley I, Trina, Chelsea, Samantha. Next he calls out Julia’s name, and Jillian thinks he said her name and walks forward to get her rose – then she trips over the rug and falls, and is mortified. Chris proceeds to hand out the rest of the roses – and shocks everyone when he gives the final rose to Crazy Ashley. Four girls do not receive roses from Chris – Tara, Kimberly, Jordan, and Alissa, are officially eliminated from The Bachelor.
