“The Bold and the Beautiful” spoilers reveal that Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) will finally return on Friday, May 22. The main storyline on B&B has been focused on Maya’s (Karla Mosley) secret, but Caroline is coming back with a huge secret of her own. Rumors have been hinting that Linsey Godfrey’s real-life injuries would be written into the show. Godfrey was struck by a car in February and broke both ankles. Godfrey hadn’t fully recovered when she began filming again, which means you can expect to see Caroline in a wheelchair when she returns from New York. The question is: what will be Caroline’s explanation?
It’s possible that Caroline could’ve had a terrible mishap that mimics the one Godfrey had. A freak accident like that would fit perfectly in the crazy soap world. However, it’s also possible the writers feared that option would hit too close to home for Godfrey. There are alternative routes they could take. Perhaps Caroline has been dealing with some sort of illness that would cause her to lose the use of her legs for a period of time.
We don’t know for sure what placed Caroline in a wheelchair, but we do know that Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) will be floored by the news. “The Bold and the Beautiful” spoilers say Ridge will be shocked when he sees that Caroline is unable to walk. Naturally, Ridge will wonder why Caroline would keep something like this from him. It seems likely that Caroline will argue that she didn’t want to burden Ridge will her troubles. After all, their relationship is still fairly new. Caroline may have been uncertain about what her injuries would mean for their future.
Caroline was already in a fragile state after being rejected by Rick (Jacob Young). Maybe Caroline felt she didn’t want to bog Ridge down with both emotional and physical baggage. Nevertheless, the rumors indicate that Ridge will insist on getting through the difficult situation together. It sounds like Ridge and Caroline might be in this for the long haul.
