“The Bold and the Beautiful” spoilers for Friday, May 15, tease that Rick (Jacob Young) will finally learn the truth about Maya’s (Karla Mosley) past. Maya will sit down with Rick and confess that she used to be a boy named Myron. People.com recently posted a video that gives viewers a sneak peek of the moment we’ve all been waiting for. In Friday’s episode, Maya will explain that she came to Los Angeles to find a doctor who could help her. Rick will be confused and ask if she had some sort of birth defect. Maya will reply that sometimes she thinks of it that way, but a lot of other people don’t. When Rick becomes frustrated with trying to understand what she means, Maya gives him the shocking news. It looks like we might have to wait until Monday to see Rick’s reaction. After all, you always have to have a good cliffhanger on a Friday. Still, Maya’s confession is a long time coming and B&B fans will be anxious to see how it all unfolds.
People.com (See Video for Maya’s confession) talked to Karla Mosley about this trailblazing storyline as well as big reveal. Mosley said that “this is the first time Maya has chosen to disclose to someone she loves, so the stakes were very high.” It seems everyone involved on “The Bold and the Beautiful” is trying to make this narrative feel genuine. Mosley noted that “it’s a beautiful story and I’m so proud of the way our show is choosing to tell it.”
The rumors have been hinting that Rick may not respond in his usual aggressive manner. Many fans have expressed displeasure at the idea of Rick going against his character by reacting too gently. However, Rick does have a softer side when he’s with Maya and perhaps the writers have chosen to play that up. No matter how Rick reacts, viewers will undoubtedly be divided. Fortunately, nearly everyone will be happy that Rick finally knows the truth and we can start to see the fallout.
