RECAP:

Wes dug up something in the desert that looks like a glowing meteorite. And after one glance at this object, the government of Mali were more than willing to sign over this “artifact” to the Americans.

No one knows what thing is and frankly Mali was smart to let it be someone else’s problem. But what makes this object dangerous is the fact Drill had wanted it to be found all along. And if Wes acknowledges that, then maybe they both could get to the bottom of this mystery.

Wes was at first hesitant to listen to Claire.

Claire had eventually told him everything, including the part about his assistant and the assistant’s little boy. But, for some reason, he was initially refusing to let what she said filter in. So he didn’t tell her about his findings or do as she suggests and talk to Sean. Because while she was trying to help the many children she felt involved – he was making career moves.

That object is a stepping stone for Wes. So far, he’s made connections out of the FBI and within the US government. So if that thing proves to be from an alien life form then he would have been the one to spearhead the project.

However, just before Wes was going to completely ignore Claire and her warnings, he was advised to observe the children’s group she was setting up. It seems that if anything comes out of the meeting between all the kids then its best to keep it contained. And that’s when Wes suddenly decided to be helpful.

Claire felt like the best way to understand the kids was to put them all in a room together. But both Wes and his wife refused to let their own daughter join this group. So Minx was actually at home conversing with Drill when the other kids were merely talking about him.

Apparently, Drill doesn’t speak to some of them anymore.

He kind of deserted them the moment they were of no longer use. So rather than be happy about what happened, the parents overheard the children saying how much they missed Drill. And how he used to play with them.

The children were getting comfortable as they were reminiscing. And Claire was able to use that to her advantage.

She lowered their guard and then she started in on the questions. She asked them if any of them knew what Drill’s plan was. And little Harper began to talk.

She said that Drill was sad. He was here alone because he had to come first to find the food. But once he accomplishes that then he was going to send for his family to come join him.

And it was just as Harper was telling Claire that the lights began to flicker. T

The lights went out and suddenly the security locked door wouldn’t open. Though, thankfully, there was something that still worked. The infrared camera.

The camera picked up Drill when he got into the room and it also detected the moment he left and were then able to open the doors to let the children out.

So Drill is something. They’ve identified him, using the images, as a form of energy. And now that they or can at least guess what he is then it’s pretty easy to see that there’s a chance he fed on the nuclear explosion a few weeks ago.

Drill got his hands on food but where is his family?

Harper did, after all, say he needed it to feed his family. And so, for a second, when Wes’s find started to give off frequency, it looked like it was trying to communicate with Drill. But no! That thing didn’t want to talk to him.

Whatever it is, it wanted to speak to Sean. And once Wes introduced them then suddenly Sean was able to remember.

He remembered his wife and he even remembered how much he hated Wes.

The question here is why would a friend of Drill’s do that unless all along it was never really a friend?

Drill tells the kids that he likes games. So Lena told her daughter that she wanted to play and now she’s the only adult that Drill wants to talk to. But can Lena be able to detect his lies any easier than her little girl?
