‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Jack Uses Hand Squeezes to Talk to Phyllis - Cabin Killer Linked To Jack's Shooting

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Thursday, July 9, tease that Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) will toast after closing the deal with a troublesome client. They’ll agree that Newman-Abbott will succeed with Gabriel (Justin Hartley) running the show. Kyle (Lachlan Buchanan) will arrive and criticize Abby for siding with Gabe. When Chelsea pipes up that they all want the company to do well, Kyle will make a snarky remark about her sleeping with Gabriel. Kyle will hint that Abby will be sorry she’s supporting Gabriel when Jack (Peter Bergman) recovers.

As Victoria (Amelia Heinle) secretly watches Gabriel and Nick (Joshua Morrow), Billy (Burgess Jenkins) will join her. Victoria will give him updates on her plan to distract Gabe by convincing him that they’re all clashing. Once Gabriel leaves, Nick will talk to Billy and Victoria about whether Abby should be included in their scheme. They’ll decide to leave Abby out of it. Suddenly, Abby will come strutting in with Chelsea. When Abby brags about the deal she just made, Billy and Victoria will imply that she could have gotten a better one. Chelsea will stand up for Abby and indicate that Victoria might be jealous. They’ll continue to bicker until Nick settles everyone down.

Noah (Robert Adamson) will introduce Marisa (Sofia Pernas) to Summer (Hunter King) at The Underground. Summer will woefully talk about how this would’ve been her first anniversary with Austin (Matthew Atkinson). Noah will bring up Kevin’s (Greg Rikaart) idea that the cabin killer could be linked to Jack’s shooting. When Summer exits, Noah will fill in Marisa about the DNA they found belonging to Marco Annicelli (Peter Bergman). Marisa will confess that she knew Marco and she’ll say her boyfriend belonged to the same crowd. Noah will urge Marisa to call her boyfriend, but she’ll reply that he’s gone now.

In his hospital room, Jack will squeeze Phyllis’ hand to let her know he can hear her. They’ll work out a system of one squeeze for yes and two for no. Phyllis will ask if Jack had a gun on him when he went to meet Victor (Eric Braeden). Gabriel will walk in and wonder what’s up. Phyllis will say Jack didn’t respond to her and she’ll excuse herself. Gabe will chat with Jack about how he thought he was dead. It seemed making a deal with Victor was the only thing Gabriel could do. Jack will think that Gabriel (aka Adam) was in on Victor’s scheme with Marco and he shares some of the blame. Gabe will urge Jack to get better so they can sort this mess out.

Ashley (Eileen Davidson), who has been at the hospital for an MRI, will tell Stitch (Sean Carrigan) that he doesn’t have to stick around. Stitch will say that he’s needs to stay to discuss getting his job back. Ashley will be glad to hear that the medical board ruled in Stitch’s favor. As Gabriel is leaving, he’ll have a quick spat with Ashley about the responsibilities he gave Abby. Ashley will declare that the battle is just beginning. Phyllis will join Jack back in his room. They’ll use the squeezing system once again. Jack will let Phyllis know that Victor didn’t shoot him in self-defense, but she shouldn’t call the police yet.

Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers reveal that Summer and Kyle will talk about the all the current conflict with their families. Summer will worry that it will drive them apart, but they’ll agree that they love each other. Meanwhile, Abby will be excited about the news that Stitch is getting another chance as a doctor and he’ll be happy about her promotion. It seems Stitch is finding himself drawn to both Ashley and Abby. Y&R rumors hint that Stitch and Ashley could indulge in a romp in the sheets soon.
