The Young and the Restless spoilers are leaking some news on the return of one of Y&R’s veteran actresses. Jess Walton will reprise her role as Jill Fenmore Atkinson in the coming weeks. Last we heard, Jill was working overseas at the Hong Kong offices for her newly acquired company Chancellor Industries. As the old saying goes, “When the cat’s away, the mice will play” and that’s exactly what Jill’s husband, Colin Atkinson [Tristan Rogers], the inveterate criminal, has been doing!
According to the latest The Young and the Restless news on Jill’s return, she quickly learns firsthand about Colin and his role in the disappearance of Hilary Winters [Mishael Morgan]. Jill is extremely protective of her former house mate and best gal friend Katherine Chancellor’s [Jeannie Cooper] grandson Devon Winters [Bryton James]. When she learns he is the prime suspect in his bride’s disappearance, which is being considered a murder, Jill promises to stop at nothing to clear Devon and find his missing wife. But Jill soon discovers her dear loving husband set in motion Devon’s whole bachelor party disaster including hiring the prostitute who supposedly slept with the hapless groom. Jill also puts the pieces of the puzzle together: the party, the video and a large amount of cash deposited into Colin’s bank account. She determines correctly he was paid off by someone to set Devon up.
More Y&R rumors have Jill and Nikki Newman [Melody Thomas-Scott] teaming up to finally get to the bottom of the whole situation. Nikki adds her own suspicious of Neil [Kristoff St. John] to the mix and the ladies are able to determine what happened to Hilary the day she went missing. Jill is also concerned Colin is the ringleader of the Paragon Project formed to take over Newman Enterprises and Jabit and bring down Victor Newman [Eric Braeden]. Additional Y&R rumors have Jill seeking her live-in maid Esther Valentine [Kate Linder] to spy on Colin while she performs her daily duties at the Chancellor estate.
Colin quickly learns Esther is following his every move. He purposely throws her off track when he sets a trap for Esther which leaves her in a spiraling tail spin! Jill is now more convinced than ever that Colin is definitely up to no good. With all these dangerous situations Colin has got himself into, Jill will have to decide if she’ll ‘stand by her man’ or let him ‘out to dry’. We are excited here at CDL to see Jill and Esther finally receive new storylines and some much needed air time. Is Colin behind the Paragon Project? It’s definitely been way overdue!
