“The Young and the Restless” (Y&R) spoilers promo titled “Not so Nice” teases that Victor Newman [Eric Braeden] may have a bigger battle than fighting the Paragon virus. His son, Nick Newman [Joshua Morrow], whom the Mustache thinks is the golden boy, feels left out when Victor pushes him out of the family business.
Nick tells Abby Newman [Melissa Ordway] that their father is going to crush anyone who gets in his way. Nick feels like he was cast out of Newman Enterprise to make room for half-brother Adam Newman [Justin Hartley]. His feelings are justified. Victor asked Nick to come back to Newman multiple times, and he refused.
Nick didn’t want ANYTHING to do with the company. Now, fans are supposed to believe he was planning on returning to the office and is upset his spot is currently occupied by Adam. Victor has made it clear that he wants Adam with him to battle the Paragon virus.
Victor doesn’t think Nick and Abby are ruthless enough to fight the cyber-attack. And Victor told Adam that he cannot trust Victoria [Amelia Heinle] because she is loyal to Billy Abbott [Burgess Jenkins]. Plus, Victor thinks that Billy is the one behind the Paragon virus resurfacing.
Adam is shocked by that revelation and wonders if Billy partnered with Ian Ward [Ray Wise]. Victor agrees that he wouldn’t put it past him since Billy wants to see the Newmans suffer by any and all means necessary no matter that he’s involved with one of them.
Victor told Adam they cannot back down, no matter the cost because Newman Enterprises is Adam and Connor’s legacy. Victor threatened Adam that if he didn’t help him, he’d tell Chelsea [Melissa Claire Egan] that Sage’s [Kelly Sullivan] child is his baby, and not Nick’s.
Adam doesn’t see the sense in revealing that information now, especially considering that the baby passed away and the truth would just hurt everyone involved. The fact no one sees coming is the baby is NOT dead, and Adam’s paternity will be a focal point in the coming months.
The teasers state that when those involved start to figure out that the baby is actually Sage’s child, they do a paternity test on Nick, and he is NOT a match. This will send Sage into a tailspin wondering if her baby is alive or dead.
The Newman family is deeply divided – between the Paragon virus, the paternity shake-up and the Newman brothers being at odds – and it spells nothing but trouble. A Newman war is brewing, and Victor will plow down anything and anyone in his way – including his children!
