The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that a massive showdown is brewing over paragon and the Newman Towers fire between Victor Newman [Eric Braeden] and Adam Newman [Justin Hartley] on the one hand – and the evil cabal of Billy Abbott [Burgess Jenkins], Ian Ward [Ray Wise], and Marco Annicelli [Peter Bergman] on the other.
The line was drawn in the sand, and no one is safe. Does Billy boy have what it takes to bring Victor to his knees?
There’s no question that Billy has been gunning for Victor and Adam for months – possibly even years. He has the gumption to try to take the Newman’s down, but is he bright enough to pull the scheme off?
Victor seems to believe that Billy partnered up with someone who does have the guts to take him on – Ian Ward. On Monday, November 23, Victor tells his son, Nick Newman [Joshua Morrow], he has proof that Billy Abbott has conspired with Ian Ward, and he wants to get Adam out of jail to help him battle them for control of Newman.
The revelation was hard for Nick to hear at firstly because it meant his father wants him to play a lesser role in the family-owned company. Nick has known for quite some time that Victor doesn’t think he has what it takes to run the company well. He sees Nick is a pushover – not a serious businessman.
The Moustache sees Adam in a completely different way. Adam is cold, calculating and highly intelligent. He planned to take his father down, all on his own. In some way, Victor respects his attempt to take his company down. In fact Victor see Adam as a chip off the old block – and he isn’t wrong!
Nick, didn’t take the news well. He told his wife, Sage [Kelly Sullivan] that he’s worries his father is pushing him out of the company. He told her, “My dad wants me out of Newman to make room for Adam. It’s happening again. This will not end well for any of us.” It seems like a Newman battleground is about to erupt, and no one will be safe.
Meanwhile, against this background of sibling rivalry,while the Newman’s try to figure out how to handle the battle against the Paragon Project, Billy, Phyllis [Gina Tognoni] and supposedly Ian are planning their next move to take control of Newman. When you think about it, it makes perfect sense that Phyllis would be tangled in the Paragon mess with Ian.
Billy hates the Newmans enough to tolerate Ian’s madness. Phyllis has a special friendship with Ian- only backing away from it when Jack learned of his identity. Is it possible that Ian told her who he was and some of his plans when they were in the woods?
Billy implied that Adam lied, placing Ian Ward in the Newman building the night of the fire. As Billy went on the helicopter, he saw Ian and Adam arguing in the ballroom. He escaped to safety. Is it possible the plan all along was to leave Adam to die in the fire, and Ian would escape free to be declared dead?
Peter Bergman stated a few months ago that Marco would return in the coming months. No one, even Victor, knows for sure if Marco even made it to the Peruvian prison that night ‘Victor’s men took him or if he has bribed his was out since – perhaps with the help of Luca Santori [Miles Gaston Villanueva]?
Is it possible that Marco and Ian are working together to bring the Abbott’s and Newman’s down – while Ian brings Phyllis and Billy in the scheme as Newman aversaries?
Adam and Victor, as a team, will be very hard to defeat. They are both very quick, intelligent, and make SOUND business decisions. Billy and Phyllis react to business and personal situations in a very emotional way. “The Young and the Restless” spoilers tease that Victor will expose their weakness.
