“The Young and the Restless” spoilers indicate that Sage Newman (Kelly Sullivan) is not going anywhere anytime soon. Fans of the show have thought since she first appeared on the show that Sage would end up Delia’s (Sophie Pollono) killer. They have stated it would be a great way to redeem Adam Newman (Justin Hartley). It is looking more and more likely that she will not be Delia’s killer. Fans are going to have to accept her as part of the show, after all, she is pregnant with a Newman child.
Sage married Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) on a recent Y&R episode. They had a simple wedding, only inviting his children (minus Mariah) and their dates to the wedding. Before the wedding, fans had speculated that Sage wouldn’t make it to the altar with Nick. It appears fan speculation was wrong. They are married and seem to be happy, at least for now. Long-time fans of the show know that the happiness will not last long. Nick is the one character that seems to change wives like some people change clothes.
How will Nick feel when it comes out, and it will, that she helped his kid brother Adam (whom he hates) come back with a new identity? Will Nick be able to forgive her for deceiving him? “Y&R” fans are divided about how they think Nick will react. Is it possible he will believe that Sage was a victim in helping Adam (Justin Hartley)?
It is possible he will believe that Sage was a victim and Adam convinced her to help him. How could he have considering Adam had no idea she helped him until after-the-fact? Adam was unconscious when Sage pulled him out of the car with a plan to give him Gabriel Bingham’s identity. Nick wants to believe that she is different than Sharon. He wants to believe their marriage is based on honesty and trust. Will he be able to come to terms with the fact that Sage is not much different than Sharon and possibly much worse?
And what about Nick’s anticipated insane fury when he finally realizes that Gabriel is Adam and slept with his wife? Image the wild DNA testing shenanigans that will go down in Genoa City once Nick realizes that his half-brother Adam could be responsible for the ‘Newman’ genes in ‘his’ baby with Sage? Let’s not forget that Sage doesn’t even have the excuse of not knowing that Gabriel was Adam – she is the very reason Gabriel IS Adam.
Chuck Pratt and Jill Farren Phelps have stated they are completely satisfied with the way Kelly Sullivan is portraying Sage. They created the role especially for her and are not anticipating her exit from the show for quite a while and making Sage responsible for Delia’s death just wouldn’t do. It looks like the “The Young and the Restless” fans going to enjoy Sage for some time to come.
