“The Young and the Restless” (Y&R) spoilers tease that Sean Carrigan – Dr. Ben “Stitch” Rayburn – recently inked a two-year renewal deal with the CBS daytime drama. Reports indicate Carrigan’s contract extension will advance the Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway), Ashley Abbot (Eileen Davidson), and Stitch love triangle.
Both women have been pawing after the stud – but he put a ring on Abby’s finger. Is it possible he may regret that rash decision? Before being trapped in the Halloween gala blaze, Stitch professed his love to Abby and proposed with a big rock.
Of course, the Newman heiress said yes to the proposal and promptly started planning the Genoa City shindig. But it looks like those wedding plans will not stop Stitch’s advances towards Abby’s mother, Ashley, particularly after what they said to each during the Newman Tower blaze.
Stitch keeps insisting it is Ashley he really wants and he wants to reveal their forbidden kiss to Abby, but Ashley says NO. Ashley tells Stitch under no circumstances can he reveal one iota of the kiss or ‘moment’ they shared.
Ashley keeps telling Stitch that the tender moments they shared in the Newman inferno were not real. Ashley claims they said things they didn’t mean only because they thought they were going to die there together.
But Stitch isn’t so sure that’s all it was – he meant what he said to Ashley while they were trapped. Stitch sees Ashley as the love of his life and he doesn’t regret anything. But Ashley feels nervous about the whole ordeal.
On the one hand, she feels real chemistry and affection with Stitch, who is a better fit for Ashley than Abby in many ways. But on the other hand, tangling with Stitch is complicated and could ruin her relationship with her daughter, Abby.
Stitch feels a connection with both women and, according to “The Young and the Restless” spoilers, things will get messier when Abby announces she is pregnant with Stitch’s baby. The baby news will send Ashley reeling.
Ashley will feel like a terrible mother for daydreaming about a life with the father of her unborn grandchild. “The Young and the Restless” spoilers hint that Stitch and Ashley will end up in bed together and question whether they should reveal the incident to an unsuspecting Abby.
They both care deeply about Abby and don’t want to upset her. One thing is for sure; this charade cannot last forever and, at some point, Stitch will be forced to choose between Abby and Ashley and stick with it.
