‘The Young and The Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers: Speculation Mounts – Will Victor Newman Get Shot – And Who Did It?

“The Young and the Restless” (Y&R) spoilers include fans clamouring for Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) numerous crimes to be uncovered and that the conniving scoundrel be brought to justice. There is speculation from many Y&R fans – if a “Who Shot Victor Newman?” storyline may happen.
Eric Braeden has made it clear – despite ridiculous rumors based on certain fans misunderstanding – he is NOT leaving the daytime drama – though fans seem to think that the only way for justice to be exacted is for Victor to be killed off. Sorry, this isn’t happening no matter how much fans have come to hate the patriarch of the Newman family.

There is no way around it, Victor MUST pay for his crimes. Gas-lighting Sharon by bring Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) wasn’t even the beginning of the latest round of illegal activities in which Victor Newman has participated to get the upper hand. Newman managed to manipulate Phyllis Abbott’s (Gina Tognoni) son Daniel to sign over guardianship of their comatose mother to Summer Newman Travers (Hunter King). Then good old Grandpa Newman manipulated Summer into signing paperwork giving him control of the treatment decisions to be made on Phyllis’ behalf.

Then he graciously – really? – had Phyllis pumped full of experimental drugs to bring her out of the coma! And let’s not forget Victor lifting what he thought was granddaughter Faith Newman’s (Alyvia Alyn Lind) hairbrush – which ended up being Summer’s – and flying to Switzerland for intensive DNA testing. Perhaps not illegal, but definitely not ethical or moral. There are probably a few more crimes we’re forgetting that Victor been involved in the last year or two alone!

Before unleashing Marco Annicelli (Peter Bergman) on Genoa City Victor had corporate espionage under his belt – not the first time – when he managed to steal Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) formula for “Hex.” The ever-growing list of felonies the corporate giant has committed also includes kidnapping, fraud and accessory to murder.

And let’s not forget the part Victor Newman played in allowing Phyllis to unknowingly be repeatedly raped by Marco the Monster. There is no way around it this time – Victor has blood – figuratively – all over his hands this time. Victor has once again added blackmail to his list of crimes. This time Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) is his target. Victor is using information garnered from the private detective he hired to find out Neil’s whereabouts at the time Hilary Hamilton (Misheal Morgan) disappeared to keep Neil away from Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), whom Neil considers a friend.

Now The Moustache is going after Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) with a court order keeping her in town – and it’s pretty obvious that Victor intends to aggressively pursue custody of her son. Rather than repent for his many crimes recently – bringing death and destruction to Genoa City at the hands of Marco – this ageing reprobate is unknowingly (we assume) going after Adam Newman’s son, the very man who is at this minute working the Paragon Project to destroy his despised dad! This power play for custody may be the proverbial straw that breaks the camel’s back and someone may shoot him – aiming to kill but missing the mark. But who? Victor Newman has a list of enemies a mile long who would like to see the miscreant finally be held accountable for his felonious activities.

Fans have been begging – outright demanding – that Victor Newman FINALLY be held accountable for his crimes. Maybe TPTB will take a cue – get a clue – from fans and write a “Who Shot Victor?” storyline. This doesn’t take Victor out of the picture permanently and this is pure speculation at this point. And if Victor is shot what happens next? Whether or not a shooting takes place the writers still have to figure out a way to redeem The Moustache because killing off Victor Newman is not an option. That’s the reality of the situation. Let us know what you think – Does Victor simply get too much leeway – and don’t forget to check CDL often for the latest “Young and the Restless” spoilers, rumors, updates and news.
