The Young and the Restless (Y&R) Spoilers: Will Sage Miscarry Nick’s Baby – Do Sharon and Sage Both Lose Their Babies?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) Spoilers: Will Sage Miscarry Nick’s Baby - Do Sharon and Sage Both Lose Their Babies?

‘The Young and the Restless’ spoilers – sadly – could point to Sage Newman (Kelly Sullivan) having a miscarriage. On the Friday, September 4, episode of “Y&R” Sage experiences abdominal pain and Nick (Joshua Morrow) convinces her to go to the hospital. Is it possible that the writers have written not one but two miscarriage storylines?

On Friday’s episode – Sept. 4 – of “The Young and the Restless” Nick (Joshua Morrow), Sage and Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) share a tender moment when the little girl – who is excited to be a big sister – talks to the baby and feels it kick. Sage drifts off to sleep and Nick and Faith to her room for some bedtime stories.

Sage – abruptly awakening from a nightmare that Victor (Eric Braeden) has taken her newborn son away – stands up but immediately needs to sit back down due abdominal pain. The pain doesn’t seem severe but Nick convinces Sage that they should go to the hospital to have her checked out just in case.
At the hospital the new Mrs. Newman is scared that she won’t be able to stay pregnant – she is petrified will have a miscarriage her miracle baby. Nick can tell something else is wrong and Sage describes the nightmare she had about Victor taking way their newborn son.

In a preview for “The Young and the Restless” that will air on Monday, September 7, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is shown in the hospital room with Sage who experiences more abdominal pain. Meanwhile, Nick is outside in the hallway and asks the doctors’ if there is something that they aren’t telling him something about the baby. Is there something they couldn’t say in front of Sage, Nick asks.

Would the writers at “The Young and the Restless” upset fans with yet another miscarriage story so soon after Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) miscarriage? Will both “Y&R” babies be lost? Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) has already had enough upheaval in her life over the past few years. Not only does another miscarriage devastate another “Y&R” couple and Faith will lose both younger siblings.

It is entirely possible that Sage is just experiencing normal pains that accompany a pregnancy. Even women who are not high risk have abdominal pains during pregnancy. They could even have been Braxton-Hicks contractions, which are quite common. The newest little Newman heir may arrive into the world healthy – and actually in a hospital and not an elevator or storage closet!

What if the doctors have discovered that something is wrong with Nick and Sage’s baby that can be corrected with prenatal surgery? Instead of miscarriage Sage could give birth early, making the baby a micro preemie, but he – or she – will survive. Perhaps the wee one has a congenital medical condition that requires corrective before its birth. Elizabeth Bogush has been cast in the role of Dr. Anderson – who is assigned to care for a resident of Genoa City. Could she be a perinatal surgeon who will safely perform prenatal surgery on Baby Newman and then be entrusted with his – or her – care after Sage gives birth? What do you think could happen?
