The Young and the Restless spoilers predict that Dylan, as a newly deputized cop, will end the scourge of death and evil perpetrated on Genoa City and kill Marco! On CBS’s Y&R the Cabin Killer mystery is front and center this coming week. On the August 17 episode Marco Anicelli (Peter Bergman) tricks Jack (Peter Bergman) with a text message from Victor (Eric Braeden) – well at least Jack thinks it’s Victor – Anicelli wants him to meet at Victor’s office. Jack and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) leave Devon (Bryton James) and Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) wedding to meet up with him.
What has transpired on the show as of late is Detective Harding (Chris McKenna) is a good cop gone bad grows a conscience and goes good again but is it too late for the cop with a conscience? Unfortunately just because we see Marco on the loose does not mean this storyline is wrapping up anytime soon – TPTB will milk this for as long as they can, pushing toward fall sweeps.
On the August 17 episode Marco Anicelli shoots Harding point blank in the gut in Victor’s office. Sources say actor Chris McKenna is leaving Y&R so he can go a tragic way dying in The Moustache’s office or end up like all of the other GC residents, in critical condition in the hospital. We know Peter Bergman did a large amount of time in the hospital bed this past year so what is one more stint for another character? While Harding is fighting for his life Chief Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) has already replaced him with his son – Military Vet/Coffee House owner Dylan McAvoy (Steve Burton).

CDL knows the writers have to keep Victor’s hands as clean as possible because once Anicelli kills -Victor will have to be held accountable because after all, he did bring this monster into GC. Victor is facing felony kidnapping charges etc. But The Moustache can buy his way out of of those charges whereas he cannot get out of murder charges nor the lash back of fan hate that Victor would accrue if he is responsible for murdering people. There is no doubt TPTB will redeem Victor – after all what would Y&R be without this dastardly villain?
Anicelli will set his sights on Kevin (Greg Rikaart) and Mariah (Camryn Grimes), oh and Summer (Hunter King) too just because the writers seem to think the show revolves around her. In the end there will be a Jack/Marco showdown just like the Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown)/Phyllis showdown of the past – asking which Jack is real and which is Marco? Dylan McAvoy has been moving to the Y&R forefront and will save the day!
Dylan will end up shooting Marco Anicelli but also triggering his PTSD – TPTB know Dylan needs a storyline and wiping tables at the Coffee house is not cutting it. The writers have also given Dylan a more interesting love interest that should spice up his life with a bipolar pregnant Sharon (Sharon Case) off her meds YIKES! Y&R fans will also see more of the team of McAvoy and Williams.
