“The Young and the Restless” spoilers and coming and going news are confirming that Jessica Collins is exiting the CBS soap, and her character Avery Bailey Clark will be killed off. Collins joined Y&R back in 2011, and after a romance with Nick Newman – she moved on to his half-brother Dylan McAvoy. Currently, Jessica’s character Avery is caught up in a messy love triangle between Dylan and her former husband Joe Clark – who recently arrived in Genoa City.
According to “The Young and the Restless” spoilers from Daytime confidential, head writer Chuck Pratt was forced by CBS executives to rewrite the exit storyline he had created for Avery. The soap insider dished that Avery’s exit was “so heinous it would have been Armageddon.” It’s pretty clear that the writers are planning on killing off Avery, because if she was just packing her bags and leaving town – we’re pretty sure her exit wouldn’t have been “heinous.”
So, how will Avery Clark be killed off? Well, Jessica’s character isn’t exactly sick – so it’s safe to assume that she will be murdered. But, by who? Avery is a high-profile lawyer, and she has made quite a few enemies along the way (like the late Austin), so perhaps a drisguntled client arrives in Genoa City to seek revenge. Then, there is always the chance that her former fiancé Dylan snaps on her over her relationship with Joe Clark (Scott Elrod) – he does have a history of being violent and struggling with PTSD. Now, Dylan is involved with Sharon Newman, and according to “The Young and the Restless” spoilers, Sharon (Sharon Case) and Avery wind up battling over Dylan (Steve Burton). Sharon also has a history of mental illness, so she may be the one who winds up killing Avery off. In Genoa City, the possibilities really are endless.
