Tonight on TLC Welcome to Myrtle Manor continues with an all new Thursday March 5, season 3 episode 2 called, “Jared Gets a Big Boy Job,” and we have your weekly recap below. On tonight’s episode, Jared gets a job at a used-car dealership.
On the last episode, in the Season 3 premiere, Anne’s cancer remission was a cause for celebration; Jared and Chelsey returned to Myrtle Beach with a new member of their family; and Amanda had a mysterious guest in her trailer. On tonight’s episode as per the TLC synopsis, “Jared gets a job at a used-car dealership; Amanda finds herself in a love triangle with Brock and a new suitor; Bandit’s love life becomes a topic of conversation for the Manor’s residents.”

On #MyrtleManor, over at Tangull’s there is gossip going on. Roy is working on Kim’s hair and he asks if Brock talked to Amanda. Gina says Amanda just wants a BF and they talk about how she tried to be Jared’s bestie then her roommate got the guy and now it’s happened again. Chelsey says Amanda just wants to find love and Roy says he heard Amanda went on a date. Miss Peggy says Amanda wants her cake and to eat it too but you can’t have both.
Gina says there’s a rumor that Bandit is dating someone and they wonder if that’s who Amanda is seeing him. Brittney and Jessica talk about Bandit getting with all the ladies. Jessica says it’s hard to live in a trailer with two girls who hate each other. Amanda complains about Jessica’s onion sandwich and says she’s getting ready for a date with a younger guy. She says they’re going out to eat and drink at Ocean Annie’s and asks if she shouldn’t go there because Brock works there.
Jessica wonders if she should take a date there and why she would go there. She thinks it’s a bad idea. Amanda says she doesn’t care if Brock cares but hopes he’s jealous. She heads off for her date. Chelsey and Jared talk about money. Chelsey asks Jared what he’s going to do for work. She says he should go look for a job. He says he has to get money and support them and he’s not doing a good job right now. Over at Ocean Annie’s, Amanda meets Kevin, a guy she met online from Charleston.
Brock comes over to wait on them and Kevin says Brock is a big muscular dude who is checking Amanda out. Brock says Kevin looks like he’s 10 and thought she was babysitting him. Kevin asks if she knows him and says he keeps staring at her. She says she knows him a little bit. Amanda ignores Brock and says he’s the maintenance guy at the trailer park and says they used to like each other. Crystal is at the bar and asks Brock about Amanda.
Amanda tells Kevin he’s more beauty than brains. Brock says it’s awkward and Crystal says Amanda doesn’t seem like his type. Crystal asks Brock if he’s jealous. He kisses Crystal to make Amanda jealous. Crystal says Amanda is getting mad and he kisses her again. Kevin then starts kissing Amanda and Brock brings over shots and interrupts them. Amanda says Brock had his chance and blew it. She keep son kissing Kevin.
Jared and Chelsey cuddle while the baby sleeps. Jeana says she heard Jared needs a job and says there’s a job open at Car Depot. He asks what it is and she says it’s a job. She tells him not to embarrass her. He says okay and Jeana leaves. Jared says he has to start making money. Over at Tangulls, Gina comes in and Roy says he didn’t think she had anybody. She says she doesn’t but didn’t want him to be alone. They wonder why it’s dead this week. Chelsey says they need to look elsewhere for business.
Kim comes in and asks why it’s dead. Gina and Roy talk about handing out flyers and Kim says they should do makeovers. Kim says some of the women on the beach look a hot mess. Jessica tells Brittney they should draw pictures of their perfect guys. Amanda finally gets up and plops on the sofa. She says she had a great date. She says he’s a gentleman and opens doors. Kevin wanders out of the bedroom and asks where his keys are. Brittney thinks that was pretty quick.
Jessica says Kevin seems like a youngin’. They introduces themselves to him and Roy says it was not ladylike to have a sleepover with someone you just met. Jared goes over to Car Depot to interview. He says Jeana sent him over. They ask if Jared has ever sold a car. Roy says it depends on what Jared is selling and who he’s selling it to. He says he could sell to younger women and older men. They introduce him to some other salesmen.
They tell Jared he’s very handsome and say that’s tough to compete with. They agree to give Jared a shot but say he can’t take test drives with the girls. Kim is on the beach offering makeovers. She tells people they can use them. They wonder if she will scare people off or bring them in. Kim brings over a guy who has long hair. He says his hair is all tangled. They cut off his ponytail and he says they scalped him. Kim stops one girl and says she needs a make under. She says she’s not trying to be mean.
Kim pulls the girl over to Ray and Gina. Gina cuts the guy’s hair and he tells her that his wife and GF know about each other. Roy says he looks totally different. The guy is pleased with his haircut. Kim brings Alexis over and she says they need to do something with her makeup. Roy says all girls that age needs is someone to explain they don’t need to wear so much. Then they make duck lips. Miss Peggy and Brittney also demonstrate duck lips.
Gina starts taking appointments on the spot once everyone sees how good Alexis looks. Anne and Marvin peek out the blinds at Bandit’s car and they think he was a woman in the car with him. Marvin says he doesn’t trust Bandit and wonders who he’s sneaking in.
Over at Car Depot, they show Jared the ropes. Chelsey says Jared isn’t a people person so she’s not sure this is the right thing for him. Dennis tells Jared not to push people too hard and to ask questions about them. He says the more he talks to them, the more likely he’ll lose them. Jared says he’s nervous since he’s not much of a salesman. One customer asks Jared if he’s ever danced. He says he might have. He says he’s doing all the steps but it’s not working.
Dennis asks how it went and he says he didn’t get a sale but Dennis says he did good. Jared says maybe he should just go back to stripping. Amanda is out with Kevin again and she says it was the nicest dip before. She says she likes him a lot and he asks why. She says he makes her happy and he says her dimples are cute. She says a drunk man’s words are a sober man’s thoughts. Kevin asks if this is going to be something more or just casual dating.
He asks if the age difference bothers her and says she’s like a MILF. Jared says Chelsey is the only MILF in the park. They have a five year age gap. He says he’s nervous because she’s so pretty. She says she feels a connection. Brittney and Jessica are mixing drinks – giant drinks. They wonder if Amanda will be mad that they’re hanging out. Jessica is drinking out of a vase. She says Brittney isn’t the bitch she was made out to be. They decide to make some wieners like from their old business. They do shots and cook hotdogs.
Amanda says they got to watch the sun go down and it’s perfect. Amanda says Kevin looks like one of the little princes from a story book. He says he loves being around her and she says she wants something serious. He says he doesn’t care about her age. She says maybe he should move in with her. He laughs and asks if she’s f-ing drunk. Amanda says she’s spontaneous and fearless. She tells Kevin she’s serious. Kevin asks if she’s sure. Amanda says why go to the store and buy milk when you can buy the damned cow.
He says he definitely wants to do this but is worried about Jessica and Brittney. Those two are drunk when Amanda comes home. She asks what the hell is going on in the kitchen. She is upset that they are partying together. She asks about the shirts and asks if they went through her stuff. Jessica says it wasn’t like that. Brittney hits herself in the eye with a straw. Amanda says Kevin is her BF now and is moving in. Jessica says this is going to be crazy.
Amanda says he’s moving in as soon as possible. Brittney says it’s been a couple of dates and she’s just moving him in without asking them in. Brittney doesn’t want anyone else in the trailer since it’s already too crowded. Gina and Roy hope business will pick up but they decide to go out for food. He says his AC isn’t working and his vajayjay is sweating. They spot Bandit and Roxie outside the store talking. They creep up on them and Gina takes a photo. They think he’s dating her to get back at Becky.
Roxie is the manager at Village Creek trailer park and Becky’s trailer nemesis. Gina snaps a lot of photos at them to show to Becky. Gina calls her Roxie Cotton and they wonder what a Bandit and Roxie baby would look like and decide it would be born needing a haircut or a shave. Jared come home from his new job and tells Chelsey it was all right. He says he made a sale and he says it was a good commission and she says she believes in him.
She asks if it was an easy sale. He says he did it and he’s going to sell a lot more and they’ll be rich in no time. She says to keep it going. She says Bellamy didn’t poop through any of her clothes so she knew it was going to be a good day. Over at Tangulls, Becky is getting her hair done and says Bandit’s hair is nappy. He’s dying to tell Becky about Roxie. He says they rolled by the store and says she needs to see this. We see Gina tell Kim, Jessica and Brittney about Bandit and Roxie. She shows the pics.
Roy shows Becky the photos. She can’t believe it. Kim asks Bandit if he’s doing Roxie but then Gina shows the photos. He says he just got cigarettes. Becky runs out with her hair stuff still in and Roy says she looks like a science experiment running down the street. She comes right over to Bandit and asks what the hell he’s doing with Roxie.
